Google is also about to launch Google Caffeine, its next generation search engine. And if that wasn't enough, Google is also introducing Google Goggles for mobile search which is turning quite a few heads and rightly so. And Bing is continuing its blazing media blitz that only a company like Microsoft could afford. Search engines are important than ever - aren't they?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Search engines are here to stay - right? They will play a leading role in the future web - right? Nothing can unseat or undermine the importance of these mighty search engines - right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Whoa - Not so fast partner!&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;While search engines will always play a major role on the web but no matter how many new ways and programs they implement, nothing can disguise the fact that search engines are and have always been the "middlemen" of the web. Obviously, being in the middle, they come between you and the stuff you're searching for on the wonderful world wide web.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Will there ever come a time when the fastest way to find what you're looking for on the web be the direct route - cutting out or severely lessening the role of the mighty search engines? Will human nature dictate or lead us to take the direct and fastest route to the majority of the information on the web? Never underestimate human nature - it can take on the mightiest of opponents!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;More importantly, will the evolution of the web and the web surfer, mean they become more and more web savvy so that they en masse cut out the middleman or middle route? Will more and more of these web savvy surfers change how the web actually works? In the process, will search engines take more of a supporting role in the "New Web"... &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you're interested in this whole foolish notion, you can read my "Soap Box" article here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/are_search_engines_becoming_irrelevant.htm"&gt;Are Search Engines Becoming Irrelevant?&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-7317051619715786216?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/7317051619715786216'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/7317051619715786216'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/12/are-search-engines-becoming-irrelevant.html' title='Are Search Engines Becoming Irrelevant?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-9131945673142671691</id><published>2009-11-21T06:04:00.000-08:00</published><updated>2009-11-21T06:08:58.470-08:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='marketing strategies'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='black friday'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='cyber monday'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='affiliate marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='marketing tactics'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='internet marketing'/><title type='text'>Gearing Up For Black Friday &amp; Cyber Monday - Some Marketing Strategies</title><content type='html'>The weekend and days after the Thanksgiving Holiday are&lt;br /&gt;some of the best marketing days of the whole year. They&lt;br /&gt;are also the best shopping days which every online marketer&lt;br /&gt;should take full advantage of, if they want to bring up &lt;br /&gt;their sales for the year.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For four or five years now, Black Friday and Cyber Monday&lt;br /&gt;have always been my best marketing days on the web. Like most&lt;br /&gt;affiliate marketers, I make special plans and run special&lt;br /&gt;marketing campaigns during this time. Usually, conversion&lt;br /&gt;rates increase significantly leading up to Christmas, so&lt;br /&gt;spending more revenue on advertising just makes good&lt;br /&gt;business sense.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are certain things and tactics I use that may be of some&lt;br /&gt;interest to others marketing on the web. Just a few marketing&lt;br /&gt;tips on the things I do to increase my overall sales. I have&lt;br /&gt;found you can't just want for things to happen, you have to &lt;br /&gt;make things happen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In other words, you have to be proactive and take steps to &lt;br /&gt;make sure your sites and promoted affiliate products are&lt;br /&gt;front and center during this holiday season. Make sure you&lt;br /&gt;don't miss out on all the increased shopping and spending&lt;br /&gt;which takes place on those days.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, if you're interested in finding out what my marketing&lt;br /&gt;tactics are for Black Friday &amp; Cyber Monday? This is the codename&lt;br /&gt;given to Google's next-generation search infrastructure&lt;br /&gt;going forward.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But what doesn this mean for your site and for your&lt;br /&gt;rankings?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Might mean major changes if your rankings are different&lt;br /&gt;from Google's current index. Even a few place changes&lt;br /&gt;on the first page results can result in big losses or gains,&lt;br /&gt;as any professional online marketer can tell you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Google has simply become that powerful when it comes to &lt;br /&gt;online search. At the moment it is the only major&lt;br /&gt;player, despite what you keep hearing about Bing, Yahoo...&lt;br /&gt;Google is still the search engine that will return &lt;br /&gt;the majority of your quality traffic.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Therefore, you really need to find out how Google Caffeine&lt;br /&gt;will affect your site and online marketing. I have just&lt;br /&gt;posted some information on Google's next search engine&lt;br /&gt;here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://bit.ly/bTsng"&gt;Google Caffeine&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Titus&lt;br /&gt;www.bizwaremagic.com&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-5300574700338566576?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/5300574700338566576'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/5300574700338566576'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/11/google-caffeine-are-you-ready-for-it.html' title='Google Caffeine - Are You Ready For It?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-4055459149806867275</id><published>2009-10-30T11:12:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-10-30T11:29:49.157-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='web marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='tweetglide'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='internet marketing tools'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='online marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='twitter'/><title type='text'>TweetGlide - How The Big Guys Market Online</title><content type='html'>............................................&lt;br /&gt;F'r'e'e for All BWMagic Subscribers&lt;br /&gt;- DATEwise Desktop eCalendar and Planner&lt;br /&gt;Never miss another important Meeting or Birthday&lt;br /&gt;Again! After 7 years of &lt;br /&gt;running two sites on Internet Marketing Tools - pretty much&lt;br /&gt;nothing excites me anymore. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;This one did.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Maybe because it's a desktop application and I have always had&lt;br /&gt;a fondness for those kinds of marketing programs. Maybe because&lt;br /&gt;it has a very potent viral element that could make this one &lt;br /&gt;very beneficial to have - only time will tell.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don't like the whole referral system behind this program -&lt;br /&gt;but I can live with that if TweetGlide brings in some targeted&lt;br /&gt;traffic to my sites. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perhaps the main reason I like TweetGlide is not all the &lt;br /&gt;marketing elements/stuff behind it, but mainly it's a great&lt;br /&gt;little Twitter application that's fun to use. Much like&lt;br /&gt;TweetDeck in design - it simply makes using Twitter easier&lt;br /&gt;and more fun to do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway... you can check out TweetGlide here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/10/30/tweetglide-how-the-big-guys-market-online/"&gt;Internet Marketing Blog&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-4055459149806867275?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/4055459149806867275'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/4055459149806867275'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/10/tweetglide-how-big-guys-market-online.html' title='TweetGlide - How The Big Guys Market Online'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-8393663787598120048</id><published>2009-10-24T06:41:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-10-24T06:48:01.802-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='seo'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='webmaster tools'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='marketing tools'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='Susan Moskwa'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google pagerank'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='pagerank'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='pr'/><title type='text'>Does Google PageRank Count Anymore?</title><content type='html'>Google has long since down-played the importance of PageRank&lt;br /&gt;and has now removed it from Webmaster Tools. So is PageRank&lt;br /&gt;still important and should you still bother with it? Find out&lt;br /&gt;by reading this article...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/10/23/does-google-pagerank-count-anymore/"&gt;Does Google PageRank Count Anymore?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;PageRank is one of those things every webmaster notices and&lt;br /&gt;wonders about... especially those webmasters who are fighting&lt;br /&gt;some fierce keyword battles in very competitive niche markets.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Does having a high PR number really push your page to the&lt;br /&gt;top for very competitive keywords in Google's index?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Guess the big question is this: if PageRank is only one of&lt;br /&gt;200 ranking factors - how important is it in Google's whole&lt;br /&gt;ranking system? Does that one factor make a difference to&lt;br /&gt;your rankings?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course, the main reason Google is down-playing PR is because&lt;br /&gt;of rampant link selling on the web. In the past, sites with&lt;br /&gt;high PR7 or PR8 could earn big bucks by selling links. Google&lt;br /&gt;has since lowered the PR on sites that were selling links -&lt;br /&gt;how they can prove this is beyond me, but by lowering or&lt;br /&gt;down-playing PageRank, Google has stopped a lot of obvious&lt;br /&gt;link selling on the web.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Link selling and buying is Google's main business. &lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It is the backing to all their successes and anyone corrupting&lt;br /&gt;their ranking system had to be dealt with, if Google wanted to&lt;br /&gt;keep their rankings honest. A true reflection of what surfers&lt;br /&gt;want to find when they click that link in Google search.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can't blame Google for wanting to keep profits flowing and&lt;br /&gt;their search index honest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, will Google totally get rid of PageRank? Why&lt;br /&gt;don't they?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many experts argue PageRank is simply too much a part of&lt;br /&gt;Google's brand, they can't get rid of it. Google must keep it...&lt;br /&gt;actually they should keep it and not show it at all. Mainly&lt;br /&gt;because if they kept this little monster secret in the first place,&lt;br /&gt;it could have saved them a lot of headaches.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But all this is pure speculation on my part - what webmasters&lt;br /&gt;do when they have too much time on their hands. But the&lt;br /&gt;whole PageRank issue still raises more concerns, even&lt;br /&gt;while Google is down-playing it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Find out why you should still be concerned with PageRank&lt;br /&gt;here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/10/23/does-google-pagerank-count-anymore/"&gt;Does Google PageRank Count Anymore?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-8393663787598120048?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/8393663787598120048'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/8393663787598120048'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/10/does-google-pagerank-count-anymore.html' title='Does Google PageRank Count Anymore?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-2768674476072971905</id><published>2009-10-17T05:15:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-10-17T09:15:39.331-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='xfactor'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='warrior forum'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='internet marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google adsens'/><title type='text'>Should You Use Google Adsense On Your Web Pages?</title><content type='html'>This week I received an email from Marlon Sanders,&lt;br /&gt;which brought back the whole issue of whether or not&lt;br /&gt;you should use Google Adsense on your web pages?&lt;br /&gt;Sanders refers to a very popular thread going&lt;br /&gt;on at the WarriorForum presented by a guy known&lt;br /&gt;as "XFactor". We don't make this stuff up folks. &lt;br /&gt;Honest!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, this very interesting and informative discussion &lt;br /&gt;on Adsense got me thinking about Adsense and should&lt;br /&gt;I really be using it on my web pages? Be informed &lt;br /&gt;that I am a long time Adsense user and I really have &lt;br /&gt;no plans of stopping.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, this whole Warrior thread has me stirred up,&lt;br /&gt;(takes a lot to stir me up these days!) and I had to&lt;br /&gt;further discuss this tricky issue with my own newsletter &lt;br /&gt;subscribers. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For me, Adsense serves a very good purpose and it is&lt;br /&gt;not all about making money from Google, there are much&lt;br /&gt;more profitable ways to do that. But using Adsense on&lt;br /&gt;your own site or web pages is a judgment call on your&lt;br /&gt;part - should you use Adsense or not?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you're interested in finding out more and my own&lt;br /&gt;opinions on this XFactor guy... click the link below:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/10/16/should-you-use-google-adsense-on-your-web-pages/"&gt;Should You Use Google Adsense On Your Web Pages?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-2768674476072971905?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/2768674476072971905'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/2768674476072971905'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/10/should-you-use-google-adsense-on-your.html' title='Should You Use Google Adsense On Your Web Pages?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-5307990427863015851</id><published>2009-10-13T05:15:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-10-13T05:17:15.642-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='web marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='seo'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='boost sales'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='increase sales'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='earn online income'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='online marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='internet marketing'/><title type='text'>7 Proven Internet Marketing Strategies To Increase Your Sales</title><content type='html'>I am constantly amazed by the number of people I meet on the web who have absolutely no marketing strategy whatsoever behind their site or online marketing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am even more amazed by the number of people who believe all they have to do is buy a domain, slap a few HTML pages together and place them on a web host somewhere. Then they expect everything else to just happen because their site or business is on the web!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;It very rarely happens that way. &lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Creating an online business takes some planning and strategy if you want your site or business to succeed. You must have a plan of action, but most of all, you must have some fundamental marketing strategies behind your online site.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, I am speaking from experience here, because I also stumbled around on the web for 2 or 3 years like the people I described above. I foolishly thought just because I had a web site, I could do business on the web. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, not very much happened. I received very little traffic and very few sales. My site was going nowhere fast.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fortunately, the theme I chose for my first site was Internet Marketing! I spent those first years studying all the online marketing material and information I could get my hands on. I gradually learned what to do and what not to do when it came to marketing online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Mostly, I stumbled across some great Internet marketers like Marlon Sanders, Neil Shearing, Ken Evoy... true pioneers of online marketing. By studying those first class marketers and their marketing techniques I learned how it was all done.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Over time, I learned how to become very analytical with my sites and marketing. I started to create marketing strategies and put them into practice with my sites. This was all new to me because I have a background in education rather than marketing. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, I would like to share with you some of these marketing strategies and practices - just things I do and things I put into place which enable me to receive a modest but very comfortable online income.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So here are some things you can try:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;1. Know Your Market Or Audience &lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First and foremost, you must know your market. Know who you will be targeting with your marketing? Know who will be buying your products or the affiliate products that you're promoting on the web?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I keep my eyes open for hot trends or products which everyone is buying. You can use programs like Google Trends to see which products are becoming hot. For example, in electronics, which products are on everyone's wish list? Is it laptops, PCs or netbooks? Are people buying smart phones, PDAs, Blu-ray Players or E-readers?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just find out what products are hot? Find what products are being searched for in the search engines... do a check to see how many searches are made each month for your chosen product? Use WordTracker, or a free online site such as Seobook.com to see what products people are searching for on the web.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If there is a large demand/audience/market for your product or subject area, then you have a better chance of succeeding online. It is a simple marketing strategy that many first time marketers ignore - please don't. So choose your products to match the demand that is out there for them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;2. Buying Mindset&lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the key elements to selling stuff online is finding people at the exact moment they are ready to buy. What some marketers refer to as a "Buying Mindset". You find people who have their minds set on buying something when they reach your site.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is much easier than you think!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A simple way I found to do this is to create sites which target keywords related to buying... such as gifts, coupons, bargains, deals and so on. For example, a site on wedding gifts will obviously attract customers who are interested in buying wedding gifts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To give you a concrete example from my own site, I have a section on "Corporate Business Gifts" which offers special deals/coupons on corporate business gifts... someone searching for that phrase is more likely to purchase a gift. Just simple reasoning, but it works wonders for selling stuff online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the Info-Product market, many Gurus create a "Buying Mindset" by offering special bonuses and discounts if someone buys from their links. Another simple way to boost your sales.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;3. Target Special Holidays&lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Along the same lines, I like targeting times when people feel obligated to buy. Using special holidays like Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day... in your marketing can be very effective.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays, weddings, graduations... when people feel they must buy something for a loved one or special friend. Targeting those occasions with your marketing can be extremely effective... people are looking for a birthday gift, a graduation gift or a wedding gift - you simply help them find what they're looking for.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On one of my sites, I target the "Back To School" market which has proven very lucrative since I market high-ticket affiliate items such as laptops, PCs and netbooks. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;4. Place All Your Emphasis On Supplying Information&lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The majority of people searching on the web are looking for information - first and foremost - even those who are ready to buy. They want information on the subject or product they're searching for on the web. It should be your marketing strategy to give them this information.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All of my sites are based on supplying information to my visitors.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you give solid information they will be pleased and take note of your site and a few will buy the products you recommend, but the information must come first.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even popular selling sites like Amazon give loads of consumer information and feedback while selling their products on the web. Consumers want information on the products they're buying. Supply this information and you will sell more products.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;5. Target Long Tail Keyword Phrases In Your SEO&lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you're selling stuff on the web, it is extremely important that you have a SEO marketing strategy. You must use the search engines to bring in those quality visitors and potential customers to your site. You must rank high in the search engines for your chosen keywords.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have found SEO is not easy but it is also not that hard to do. In order to rank high you must be persistent, have a six month or yearly plan... work at it over time, even years to build up your rankings. Most webmasters won't have the patience or resources to stick to a long-term strategy for months, even years before they start ranking for popular, well-searched for keywords.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, there's another quicker and faster way to get quality traffic from the search engines. Instead of targeting highly competitive popular keywords, you target longer keyword phrases that have little competition. For example, someone searching for a particular brand and model is more likely to buy then someone searching for a general topic. Someone searching for "cars" compared to someone searching for "2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT" - the last phrase will have very few searches but it can produce more targeted buyers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;6. Build Lists of Interested Buyers&lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of my most effective marketing strategies is building simple lists of people who want to receive further information on the subject or product they're considering buying. The web is a very temporary process since most people spend less than a few seconds on most sites. So it is important that&lt;br /&gt;you try and get them to opt-in to your mailing list, join your Twitter account or FaceBook group... and so on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You must build lists of people who are interested in finding out more about your subject or product. This way you will have repeat visitors to your site and you will get the opportunity to sell to them again and again. If you build a trusting relationship with these contacts, they will respect your opinions and suggestions. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;List building can have a very positive effect on your sales numbers so it is one marketing strategy you should definitely try if you're not already using lists.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;B&gt;7. Sell Things You Can ONLY Buy Online&lt;/B&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This marketing strategy is so simple - it's almost laughable. But I quickly found selling stuff that can only be bought online do much better than selling stuff that can be bought at your local Walmart. If buyers can only find it online, then you will have a much better chance of selling it to them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Therefore, marketing unique products or specialty items, which are only available online can prove very lucrative. This is a very simple marketing strategy but also a very effective one. Just try it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are no doubt, countless other marketing strategies you can use. But using some or all of the ones listed above will help increase your online sales. Again, just try them and see for yourself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The author is a full-time online marketer who has numerous websites. More importantly, how does having&lt;br /&gt;duplicate content on your site affect your keyword rankings in Google&lt;br /&gt;and the other search engines.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, recently it seems that Google is much more open about just how&lt;br /&gt;it ranks content. I say "seems" because with Google there are years&lt;br /&gt;and years of mistrust when it comes to how they treat content and webmasters.&lt;br /&gt;Google's whole "do as I say" attitude leaves a bitter taste in most&lt;br /&gt;webmasters's mouths. Many have had more than enough of this attitude&lt;br /&gt;coming from Google and ignore what Google and their pundits say.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have long learned you have to rise above your own personal feelings&lt;br /&gt;or beliefs with it comes to running an online business. Never let your&lt;br /&gt;emotions affect your business. Go with the flow and keep your mouth&lt;br /&gt;shut if you like taking those trips to the bank. But Google has been&lt;br /&gt;very kind to me on the whole, they have driven me nuts more times than&lt;br /&gt;I can count, but overall I am very grateful and pleased with my dealings&lt;br /&gt;with Google so I try to do everything I can to please them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Regardless, whether you love or hate Google, there's no denying they&lt;br /&gt;are King of online search and you must play by their rules or leave&lt;br /&gt;a lot of online revenue on the table.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now as for the whole issue of Duplicate Content, Google offers up&lt;br /&gt;some much needed advice on the subject. I have gathered some information&lt;br /&gt;and videos coming directly from Google and placed it in the link&lt;br /&gt;below. This is information coming from &lt;a href="http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&amp;amp;answer=139394"&gt;Matt Cutts&lt;/a&gt; and &lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hSoXutuj0g"&gt;Greg Grothaus&lt;/a&gt; on the subject of duplicate content. No matter who you are. Still takes&lt;br /&gt;some getting used to really working hard again. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, lets not get too carried away.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Work for me these days is getting out of bed, grabbing a&lt;br /&gt;cup of hot tea and booting up my trusty Toshiba laptop to&lt;br /&gt;check my overnight sales and traffic. I am still selling&lt;br /&gt;$1000's of affiliate products from my different websites&lt;br /&gt;that I run... things have slowed down because of the &lt;br /&gt;bad economy in the States but everything is still very&lt;br /&gt;manageable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Christmas is just around the corner and that has always&lt;br /&gt;been my most lucrative time selling anything on the web.&lt;br /&gt;Even in bad times, Santa still has to put in an appearance,&lt;br /&gt;he's the greatest cash generator ever invented. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But that's a little ways off yet - right now, I am boosting&lt;br /&gt;up my traffic numbers and sales by going back to work.&lt;br /&gt;There are countless things I do to boost those traffic&lt;br /&gt;numbers and I have listed them in my latest blog post&lt;br /&gt;here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/09/08/back-to-work-how-to-boost-your-traffic-sales/"&gt;How To Boost Your Traffic &amp; Sales&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hope you will find them helpful. They work for me and&lt;br /&gt;my sites - they should also work for yours.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kind Regards,&lt;br /&gt;Titus&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;http://www.bizwaremagic.com&lt;br /&gt;http://www.marketingtoolguide.com&lt;br /&gt;http://www.onlinefaxguide.com&lt;br /&gt;http://www.internetfaxguide.org&lt;br /&gt;http://www.pdaphonedeals.com&lt;br /&gt;http://bizwaremagic.tradepub.com&lt;br /&gt;http://www.sitesell.com/bizwaremagic.html&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-1865939763282897019?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/1865939763282897019'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/1865939763282897019'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/09/back-to-work-how-to-boost-your-traffic.html' title='Back To Work - How To Boost Your Traffic &amp; Sales'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-6751560605084657260</id><published>2009-08-17T10:26:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-08-17T10:32:43.120-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='how to find products to market'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='niche markets'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google trends'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='best netbooks'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='clean lcds'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='affiliate marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='niche sites'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='niche products'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='sbi'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='brainstormit'/><title type='text'>How to Find Profitable Niche Markets/Sites</title><content type='html'>............................................&lt;br /&gt;F'r'e'e for All BWMagic Subscribers&lt;br /&gt;- DATEwise Desktop eCalendar and Planner&lt;br /&gt;Never miss another important Meeting or Birthday&lt;br /&gt;Again! It's not that hard to do, but you do have to&lt;br /&gt;do a lot of research unless you want to waste all your time&lt;br /&gt;and money promoting a product or site that's just not viable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Been there, done that.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Around 10 years ago, when I first started exploring how to make&lt;br /&gt;an income from the web - I wasted two or three years promoting&lt;br /&gt;one "get-rich-quick" scheme after another. You have probably seen&lt;br /&gt;these opportunities which promises immediate riches by sponsoring&lt;br /&gt;and selling a miracle product. You get your own branded template&lt;br /&gt;site and you spend your time recruiting new prospects into selling&lt;br /&gt;the same miracle product you're selling, these recruits are placed&lt;br /&gt;under you in some kind of silly matrix... please &lt;b&gt;stay away&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;from such foolishness.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And be extremely careful of what products you promote or market on&lt;br /&gt;the web. Unless you already have your OWN products; choosing the&lt;br /&gt;right products and services to promote and market will make all&lt;br /&gt;the difference to your bottom line. So you have to choose wisely.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;But how do you find profitable niches?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, keep you eyes and ears open, what are the popular products&lt;br /&gt;your friends and colleagues are all buying? What are the hot&lt;br /&gt;products? What products are people buying online right now?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Take for example - Netbooks!&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They have only been around for a couple of years, introduced by&lt;br /&gt;Asustek in the fall of 2007 and now all the major laptop makers&lt;br /&gt;Dell, HP, MSI, Lenovo... are all making netbooks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Why?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Because netbooks are hot products and it can be a very lucrative&lt;br /&gt;market even for affiliate marketers like myself. Now I have gone&lt;br /&gt;and broken one of the unwritten rules of online marketing. Never&lt;br /&gt;tell anyone what products you're promoting and which ones are&lt;br /&gt;bringing in the revenue because it just creates competition and&lt;br /&gt;thousands of people will start selling the same products.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, I love competition. Some of the keywords I target have&lt;br /&gt;over a 100 million pages competing for the same keywords. Getting&lt;br /&gt;on that first page of results in Google keeps you on your game.&lt;br /&gt;It keeps you on your SEO toes!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Besides it doesn't take a genius to realize the &lt;a href="http://www.blogger.com/www.bizwaremagic.com/best_netbooks.htm"&gt;best netbooks&lt;/a&gt; are selling like hotcakes right now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But the real trick is to find niche markets/keywords that have&lt;br /&gt;little competition and then it is much easier to get your site and&lt;br /&gt;keywords ranked high in all the search engines. Do some serious&lt;br /&gt;keyword research in a niche market before you start building a&lt;br /&gt;site around it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many obscure products and niche markets are still virtually&lt;br /&gt;untouched. You have to find these and develop an authority site&lt;br /&gt;on them. But how do you find these profitable niches?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Again, keep your eyes open, what do you buy online? What would&lt;br /&gt;you find comfortable selling online? It's best to pick something&lt;br /&gt;you already have an interest in - take your favorite hobby and&lt;br /&gt;find products to sell or promote. Whether it be handy gardening&lt;br /&gt;tools, wine making kits, cooking utensils and the list goes on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are many places to find niche products - try newspapers,&lt;br /&gt;magazines, even your TV... what's being sold in the advertisements?&lt;br /&gt;In other words, what products are companies spending their&lt;br /&gt;advertising money on?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is also one of the most important keys I use for finding&lt;br /&gt;profitable niche products online. What are individuals spending&lt;br /&gt;their advertising dollars on - month after month? If people are&lt;br /&gt;consistently spending money on advertising (even Pay Per Click)&lt;br /&gt;more than likely this is a profitable niche.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then I check out their sites - if it's mostly affiliate products&lt;br /&gt;they're promoting and selling - then I know this is probably a&lt;br /&gt;viable niche market.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Next I thoroughly research the keyword competition related to&lt;br /&gt;this market. I personally use Keyword Elite but there are&lt;br /&gt;many keyword research programs and software on the market.&lt;br /&gt;If the competition is not too stiff, then this would be the&lt;br /&gt;major factor whether or not I enter this niche.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another consideration, I thoroughly check out the top sites&lt;br /&gt;which are ranked in Google for this niche. How well are they&lt;br /&gt;designed? Are they unique? How old are they? How many backlinks&lt;br /&gt;do they have? Can I do better? Can I compete?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Next, you have to be careful when checking out the affiliate&lt;br /&gt;commissions you can earn from promoting any niche market?&lt;br /&gt;Are these products featured in Amazon? Are they offered thru&lt;br /&gt;Commission Junction or the other major affiliate networks?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Is there a possibility of getting an exclusive private affiliate&lt;br /&gt;deal with the maker of the products or services? Don't laugh,&lt;br /&gt;this is one of the keys to earning the huge incomes on the web.&lt;br /&gt;Many companies, especially small start-ups will give you lucrative&lt;br /&gt;deals if you promote their products, some will even give you&lt;br /&gt;residual income for the life of the client you have referred.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don't leave this area unexplored because it can be the key to&lt;br /&gt;finding really lucrative profitable niche markets on the web. Many&lt;br /&gt;times once you or your site has a dominant presence in a niche&lt;br /&gt;market (your site is ranked high for all the important keywords)&lt;br /&gt;companies will approach you to sell their products. Keep these&lt;br /&gt;private deals on the table and you might be surprised at the&lt;br /&gt;response you get.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Besides the affiliate route, a more profitable way to proceed&lt;br /&gt;is to sell the products yourself thru a "drop ship" company or&lt;br /&gt;service. Or you can buy the resell rights to a product and sell&lt;br /&gt;it yourself on your site. I personally stay away from "actually"&lt;br /&gt;selling stuff on the web because that usually brings in a whole&lt;br /&gt;lot of other issues such as customer support, refunds, etc.&lt;br /&gt;I like affiliate marketing because all the buying and selling&lt;br /&gt;are done for me. All I have to do is supply the traffic and&lt;br /&gt;potential customers to my affiliate links and let them do the rest.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Regardless, you have to pick a niche market that will return&lt;br /&gt;enough of a profit to make it worth your while. I made this mistake&lt;br /&gt;once by creating a site on How To Clean LCD Screens - the&lt;br /&gt;site was somewhat successful, I did and do sell a couple of these&lt;br /&gt;LCD cleaning kits a day but unfortunately I only get less than a&lt;br /&gt;dollar for each one I sell thru my Amazon affiliate links.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.cleanlcds.com/"&gt;http://www.cleanlcds.com/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The product price is simply not high enough to give me a good&lt;br /&gt;return. I believe my major reason for designing the site&lt;br /&gt;was to also sell a big ticket item like Big Screen LCD TVs&lt;br /&gt;but I didn't sell many of these mainly because I believe&lt;br /&gt;few people buy such a big item without actually seeing&lt;br /&gt;the picture quality of the TV in person before buying it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You really do have to find products people like buying online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One simple way to do this is to only promote products that&lt;br /&gt;are ONLY sold online, therefore people simply have to buy them&lt;br /&gt;on the web. Another solution is to promote products which have&lt;br /&gt;exclusive online coupons and deals for their affiliates. You would&lt;br /&gt;be surprised how many major companies like Dell, HP, Lenovo...&lt;br /&gt;offer these special online deals. Customers will seek out these&lt;br /&gt;deals and buy online - hopefully from your affiliate links.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Finding popular products can be done, here are a couple of free&lt;br /&gt;sites I like to use to help me find those niche products.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Google Trends&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.google.com/trends"&gt;Google Trends&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This site will show you which products are popular and getting&lt;br /&gt;a lot of search traffic compared to others. It will also show&lt;br /&gt;you how much news/buzz a certain product is receiving... all&lt;br /&gt;important points to consider when choosing a product to promote.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Perhaps one of the best sites for finding profitable niche&lt;br /&gt;products is from Microsoft:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Detecting Online Commercial Intention&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://adlab.microsoft.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/"&gt;http://adlab.microsoft.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Which tells you the Probability someone will buy when using&lt;br /&gt;certain keywords or even a site. This is a good way to check&lt;br /&gt;to see if your keywords have commercial value - will people&lt;br /&gt;buy it? Use this tool consistently, and it will help you&lt;br /&gt;find your profitable keywords and niche markets.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now if you're are a complete novice at online marketing, then&lt;br /&gt;you will need extra help at finding your own profitable niche&lt;br /&gt;markets. One solution I always recommend is SBI. It is more&lt;br /&gt;expensive than other hosting services but you get a tons of&lt;br /&gt;marketing tools and programs along with your site building&lt;br /&gt;system.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of these is the whole "BrainstormIt" system which will&lt;br /&gt;guide you step-by-step to finding a profitable niche market to&lt;br /&gt;build your site around. I have not found any system more&lt;br /&gt;comprehensive than this one - again, it's more expensive&lt;br /&gt;but well worth the money.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://videotour.sitesell.com/bizwaremagic.html"&gt;Site Build It with BrainstormIt&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway hope this discussion has given you some help in finding&lt;br /&gt;your own profitable niche products to promote on the web.&lt;br /&gt;Find the right ones, and you will never look back!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kind Regards,&lt;br /&gt;Titus&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;http://www.bizwaremagic.com&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;P.S. If you found this page useful Please Help spread the word. It also incorporates such popular services as Twitter and Facebook. To find out more about this interesting new platform, &lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Bizwaremagic.com did an interview with &lt;b&gt;Mel Strocen,&lt;/b&gt; CEO of the Jayde Online Network, which runs numerous websites, including SiteProNews and SPNbabble.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Lets cut to the chase, why should anyone use your micro-blogging program, SPNbabble?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The main reason, and the reason we created SPNBabble, is that it&lt;br /&gt;provides social media marketers with a means to &lt;b&gt;post to multiple&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;micro-blogging sites simultaneously. Currently, SPNbabble members&lt;br /&gt;can configure their accounts so that a post on SPNbabble will also&lt;br /&gt;appear on Twitter, Facebook, Friendfeed, Plurk, Tumblr and 5 other&lt;br /&gt;micro-blogging sites. If &lt;b&gt;time&lt;/b&gt; is a factor in your marketing endeavors,&lt;br /&gt;then using SPNbabble is a &lt;b&gt;no-brainer&lt;/b&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Not everyone is familiar with micro-blogging, could you go&lt;br /&gt;into more detail and fully explain how your program works or&lt;br /&gt;functions?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Well, anyone who uses Twitter will find SPNbabble very similar &lt;br /&gt;in features and functionality. For those unfamiliar with micro-blogging,&lt;br /&gt;it's basically a &lt;b&gt;concise form&lt;/b&gt; of blogging. Most micro-blogging &lt;br /&gt;sites, including SPNbabble, restrict blog posts to 140 characters. &lt;br /&gt;It takes some practice to get your message across in shortened form, &lt;br /&gt;but for busy web professionals less is more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Micro-blogging is ideal for getting short snippets of useful information&lt;br /&gt;out to a potential audience of millions of micro-bloggers. Short blog&lt;br /&gt;posts can be about news, articles, products, services, programs, links &lt;br /&gt;to interesting sites, what you happen to be doing at that moment, &lt;br /&gt;or about almost anything else you care to share with others.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Can you elaborate on the SPNbabble Community Toolbar and how it works?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The SPNBabble toolbar was created using the &lt;b&gt;Conduit.com&lt;/b&gt; custom&lt;br /&gt;toolbar creation service. Conduit allows site owners to create&lt;br /&gt;their &lt;b&gt;own branded&lt;/b&gt; toolbars in minutes. We selected from some of&lt;br /&gt;the standard components that Conduit offers, but component&lt;br /&gt;choices literally number in the thousands.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The toolbar is available for the Internet Explorer, Firefox and&lt;br /&gt;Safari web browsers and can be &lt;b&gt;downloaded in seconds&lt;/b&gt; from&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://spnbabble.ourtoolbar.com/"&gt;http://spnbabble.ourtoolbar.com/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In addition to common toolbar features like search, weather, radio,&lt;br /&gt;pop-up blocking and a drop down link menu, the SPNBabble toolbar&lt;br /&gt;also offers more unique features like &lt;b&gt;online chat&lt;/b&gt; between&lt;br /&gt;SPNbabble members, a RSS feed reader for SPNbabble posts, a&lt;br /&gt;Twitter &lt;b&gt;post reader&lt;/b&gt;, an &lt;b&gt;email notifier&lt;/b&gt; that supports virtually all&lt;br /&gt;webmail providers and most POP3 providers, and a &lt;b&gt;Message Box&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;that enables us to send messages to members in real time to which&lt;br /&gt;they can respond.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. How much does it cost to use SPNbabble?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is no cost. SPNBabble is &lt;b&gt;FREE&lt;/b&gt; to use.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Seems like everyone has gone Twitter mad, can you give your&lt;br /&gt;views on Twitter and how it is connected with your new program?&lt;br /&gt;How is it different from using Twitter?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Twitter is an acquired taste. Either you immediately grasp its&lt;br /&gt;value or you find it to be a total waste of time. For many&lt;br /&gt;people, the latter view is based on their personal tastes and&lt;br /&gt;preferences. They see no real benefit in reading about what&lt;br /&gt;other Twitter users had for breakfast, where they are going or&lt;br /&gt;what they are doing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The &lt;b&gt;trick&lt;/b&gt;, of course, is to follow the message posts of people&lt;br /&gt;with whom you have &lt;b&gt;something in common&lt;/b&gt;. Finding those people&lt;br /&gt;on Twitter isn't that easy or intuitive, but there are Twitter&lt;br /&gt;related services that can help you find people whose message&lt;br /&gt;posts you might find interesting. I personally like Mr Tweet&lt;br /&gt;(&lt;a href="http://mrtweet.com/"&gt;http://mrtweet.com&lt;/a&gt;), but there are a number of other similar&lt;br /&gt;services that assist in &lt;b&gt;pinpointing&lt;/b&gt; Twitter members with similar&lt;br /&gt;interests.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Like Twitter, SPNbabble allows members to follow each other's&lt;br /&gt;message posts, invite their friends, add custom promotional&lt;br /&gt;backgrounds, direct message other members, search message&lt;br /&gt;posts and setup groups devoted to specific interests.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unlike Twitter, SPNbabble &lt;b&gt;caters&lt;/b&gt; more specifically to business&lt;br /&gt;professionals versus the general public, although no one is&lt;br /&gt;prevented from using the service.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6. What types of Data or RSS feeds does your program support?&lt;br /&gt;Do you have a Wordpress Plug-in?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SPNBabble supports &lt;b&gt;RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom data feeds&lt;/b&gt;. If&lt;br /&gt;you use a RSS feed enabled browser or one of the many available&lt;br /&gt;RSS feed readers, you can browse and read message posts in the&lt;br /&gt;SPNBabble public timeline without actually visiting the site.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;SPNBabble also offers a Wordpress blog plug-in. Details can be&lt;br /&gt;found at the Wordpress Plugin Directory:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/spnbabble/"&gt;http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/spnbabble/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In brief, the plugin, once installed on a Wordpress based blog, allows&lt;br /&gt;a blogger to select the blog posts he/she wants &lt;b&gt;converted&lt;/b&gt; to&lt;br /&gt;micro-blog notices and automatically added to SPNbabble and&lt;br /&gt;the other micro-blog services SPNBabble supports.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;7. Spam is an ever constant problem for every site on the web,&lt;br /&gt;but blogging sites with comments are especially vulnerable, what&lt;br /&gt;measures have you put into place for SPNbabble or is this a&lt;br /&gt;non-issue?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Spam notices are &lt;b&gt;definitely&lt;/b&gt; an area of concern, for SPNbabble&lt;br /&gt;and other micro-blog sites.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The question is how does one define spam on a micro-blogging&lt;br /&gt;service. In our case, we define spam as notices that are&lt;br /&gt;inappropriate (adult, inflammatory, illegal, etc.) or repetitive&lt;br /&gt;and identical. We are looking at ways of automating the spam&lt;br /&gt;monitoring process, but currently notices are manually &lt;b&gt;scanned&lt;br /&gt;and removed &lt;/b&gt;as necessary. In extreme cases of abuse, members&lt;br /&gt;are banned and all of their message posts removed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;8. In a slightly different vein, not everyone reading this will&lt;br /&gt;be aware that you're the CEO of the Jayde Network, which has&lt;br /&gt;many popular sites such as SiteProNews, GoArticles, ExactSeek...&lt;br /&gt;Plus, you also co-founded the iEntry network, which also runs&lt;br /&gt;some very popular sites on the web. How do you see SPNbabble&lt;br /&gt;fitting into these comprehensive online networks?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My connection with iEntry ended 8 years ago. iEntry has thrown&lt;br /&gt;its own hat into the micro-blogging ring with Twellow.com, a&lt;br /&gt;comprehensive directory of Twitter users broken down into&lt;br /&gt;hundreds of categories, and has been successful in popularizing&lt;br /&gt;Twellow very quickly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We chose to go in a different direction and provide our &lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;core audience&lt;/b&gt; - webmasters and site owners - the &lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;means&lt;/b&gt; to market and communicate across &lt;b&gt;multiple&lt;/b&gt; &lt;br /&gt;social media sites. It's a service that I &lt;b&gt;personally&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;find useful as a marketer and entrepreneur and one that I &lt;br /&gt;believe will strike a chord with other web professionals as &lt;br /&gt;the micro-blogging phenomenon continues to grow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Obviously, we plan to promote the service across all of our&lt;br /&gt;websites and we are also approaching other companies in the&lt;br /&gt;social media arena to form mutually beneficial partnerships.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;9. What are your goals and objectives for SPNbabble? Where&lt;br /&gt;would you like to see it in a few years?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My main goal for SPNBabble is to make it a &lt;b&gt;one-stop destination&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;for anyone interested in effectively utilizing the social media&lt;br /&gt;bandwagon for meaningful and profitable communication.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Specifically, I would like to improve, and add to, SPNbabble's&lt;br /&gt;feature set. That might entail tying into &lt;b&gt;additional&lt;/b&gt; micro-blogging&lt;br /&gt;sites, providing additional search functions, adding a directory of&lt;br /&gt;categorized users, notice ranking and/or voting, etc. I'd also like&lt;br /&gt;to see SPNbabble eventually added to desktop social media &lt;br /&gt;applications like TweetDeck, Twhirl, Twitteroo, Bitter, and others.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For more information and to join SPNbabble Click Here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.spnbabble.com/"&gt;SPNbabble.com&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;===========================================================&lt;br /&gt;The author is a full-time online marketer who has numerous&lt;br /&gt;websites. Something has shifted.&lt;br /&gt;Article marketing seems to be on the way out - social bookmarking&lt;br /&gt;sites seems to be in. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We will probably have to wait until the dust settles until we&lt;br /&gt;find out for sure what is going on, but here are my own &lt;br /&gt;finding and observations on these changes within Google.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have always taken SEO tactics and techniques with a large grain &lt;br /&gt;of salt. Which is probably the wrong approach since those tactics &lt;br /&gt;have made it possible for me to enjoy working full-time on the web. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, recent changes within Google has me deeply concerned&lt;br /&gt;about the effectiveness of many of those old SEO tactics which&lt;br /&gt;I have been using for years. On here, you must quickly adjust &lt;br /&gt;or go the way of the Do-Do bird!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So here are some of my latest findings on some changes within &lt;br /&gt;Google and how they (MAY) affect your keyword rankings. Hope &lt;br /&gt;these findings will be of some help to your own online marketing...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/Ouch_Google_That_Hurts.htm"&gt;Ouch Google That Hurts! I simply do less in the summer since &lt;br /&gt;I have family members visiting or the weather is simply&lt;br /&gt;too nice to spend on the computer all day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But that doesn't mean I don't earn a daily income from&lt;br /&gt;the web, even while I am on vacation. This is mainly&lt;br /&gt;due to the fact that I have automated every aspect&lt;br /&gt;of running my online business/sites. I have programs&lt;br /&gt;in place which run my sites and marketing while I am &lt;br /&gt;taking it easy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Computers, the web and online marketing are ideal&lt;br /&gt;for automation. Setting everything up does require&lt;br /&gt;some work, but once you have all your ducks lined up,&lt;br /&gt;everything runs smoothly on its own.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's an article where I explain how to automate&lt;br /&gt;your online sites or business. Hope it is of some&lt;br /&gt;help to you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Feature Article&lt;br /&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;How To Automate Your Internet Marketing&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Automation makes running any online business a total breeze. &lt;br /&gt;More importantly, only by automating your whole online &lt;br /&gt;business will you achieve the freedom and lifestyle that &lt;br /&gt;makes Internet Marketing so attractive to millions &lt;br /&gt;of people worldwide.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Internet is tailor made for automation. It can retrieve, &lt;br /&gt;process and transmit data at a lightning speed. It can keep &lt;br /&gt;track of billions of pieces of information on a single server. &lt;br /&gt;In reality, the whole system is one giant automated machine &lt;br /&gt;run by countless servers and an ever decreasing number of wires &lt;br /&gt;as the web goes wireless.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And then there is the computer - your main business automation &lt;br /&gt;tool. The computer is the perfect automation tool. It can handle &lt;br /&gt;incoming data, process files, and dispense information all &lt;br /&gt;within the blink of an eye. Computers are the real workhorses &lt;br /&gt;of our modern age -- they do most of the work for us. They are &lt;br /&gt;so important, running any competitive online or off-line &lt;br /&gt;business now without a computer would be hard to imagine, &lt;br /&gt;not to mention foolhardy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Combine these two key elements with automated marketing &lt;br /&gt;software and running any business on automation will indeed &lt;br /&gt;seem like a total breeze. It all comes down to numbers, with &lt;br /&gt;the Internet and computers, you can handle, sell and process a &lt;br /&gt;million units as easy as you can handle ten units.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Computers and the web make these large numbers possible. &lt;br /&gt;They make marketing online not only viable but also very &lt;br /&gt;lucrative. Whole automated marketing systems can be put &lt;br /&gt;into place, bringing in revenue automatically. Virtual auto &lt;br /&gt;income machines can be created.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's look closely at some examples and discover what you need &lt;br /&gt;in order to put these automated marketing systems to work for &lt;br /&gt;you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's say you have a digital information product that you wish &lt;br /&gt;to sell online. Your automated marketing system will probably &lt;br /&gt;start with the acquisition of a domain name www.widgets-info.com &lt;br /&gt;and construction of an online website where customers &lt;br /&gt;can purchase and download your product.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Designing your own site and sales letter will take some work &lt;br /&gt;and you must know what you're doing or all the automation in &lt;br /&gt;the world will be pointless because if your online site doesn't &lt;br /&gt;convert traffic into sales, it's game over. Your site or online &lt;br /&gt;business MUST convert your visitors into paying customers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many marketers hire or get someone else to design their profit &lt;br /&gt;generating sites for them. You may have to pay highly for a good &lt;br /&gt;professional quality site and high quality sales copy but it is &lt;br /&gt;the key to the success of your whole marketing operation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A well optimized website will pull in free targeted traffic from &lt;br /&gt;the different search engines automatically. A high quality sales &lt;br /&gt;letter or copy will then convert this traffic into sales and income &lt;br /&gt;automatically. To increase sales many marketers buy their traffic &lt;br /&gt;from Pay-Per-Click advertising such as those services offered by &lt;br /&gt;Google Adwords or Yahoo's Overture.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once you have targeted traffic hitting your website... all &lt;br /&gt;your marketing procedures can be automated. In most cases, &lt;br /&gt;with simple software programs that will run your online business &lt;br /&gt;on auto-pilot.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most professional marketers capture the contact information &lt;br /&gt;of their visitors. They follow up with the grand daddy of all &lt;br /&gt;automated systems -- the autoresponder. Studies have consistently &lt;br /&gt;shown, it usually takes from 6 to 7 follow-up emails before a &lt;br /&gt;customer buys your product. The autoresponder is one automated &lt;br /&gt;tool you must use with your online business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many marketers offer ecourses or free newsletters as a way of &lt;br /&gt;automatically keeping in touch with customers or potential &lt;br /&gt;customers. An autoresponder can draw visitors back to your &lt;br /&gt;site and marketing page again and again, to hear your sales &lt;br /&gt;pitch. It is the vital element in your automated marketing &lt;br /&gt;system.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Automation of your whole checkout system can be done with &lt;br /&gt;programs like ClickBank, PayPal or 1ShoppingCart... these &lt;br /&gt;automated checkout systems will take your customers through &lt;br /&gt;the checkout process and can deliver digital products or &lt;br /&gt;software downloads immediately.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here Are Some Automation Tips:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use autoresponders for follow-ups and building contact lists&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use automated checkout systems like ClickBank or 1ShoppingCart&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use simple online videos to explain complex tasks or products&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use Google Sitemaps to automatically index and update your pages&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use organic SEO tactics like keyword rich articles to get traffic&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use RSS feeds to automatically syndicate your content and articles&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use RSS feeds to automatically build content and webpages&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use datafeeds to automatically update your products or content&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use audio testimonials to warm up visitors (the net is a cold place)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use a well defined Frequently Asked Questions page or pages&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;* Use Paypal or a similar system for paying your online business bills&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(hosting, advertising, promotions) and for receiving payments/commissions&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- this way you can be away from your business for long periods&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;of time and everything will still run smoothly, on auto-pilot&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once all these elements have been put into place: your &lt;br /&gt;targeted traffic, your website with sales page and checkout &lt;br /&gt;cart, your autoresponders with follow-up messages, your delivery of &lt;br /&gt;purchased products, and a payment system to pay your bills/receive &lt;br /&gt;your commissions or payments... you will have constructed &lt;br /&gt;an automated system that will deliver sales and income 24/7/365. &lt;br /&gt;There are countless websites and businesses on the web doing &lt;br /&gt;exactly that - automatically running and earning money for &lt;br /&gt;their owners.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another popular online business model uses affiliate programs &lt;br /&gt;and advertising such as Google Adsense as their main sources &lt;br /&gt;of income, instead of offering products for sale.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These automated marketing systems are set up in the same way. &lt;br /&gt;Only no actually selling is done on the site... these sites &lt;br /&gt;pre-sell by giving away valuable information, product reviews, &lt;br /&gt;or comparison shopping tips to their visitors. Then and only &lt;br /&gt;then are potential customers sent to affiliate sites to make &lt;br /&gt;their purchases. With the affiliate (site owner) getting a &lt;br /&gt;percentage of the selling price for having referred the customer &lt;br /&gt;or client. Some great third party affiliate programs are Commission &lt;br /&gt;Junction, LinkShare, Shareasale, and Amazon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This automated affiliate/advertising website business offers the &lt;br /&gt;most freedom and the least headaches. It is an ideal automated &lt;br /&gt;business system that if done right can be extremely lucrative for &lt;br /&gt;those who put these automated marketing systems into place.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It can be pure perfection where automation meets the Internet, &lt;br /&gt;computers and the marketing process. It can be a marvel to behold &lt;br /&gt;and a complete joy to experience in action. For those savvy &lt;br /&gt;marketers who have perfected this system it spells only one &lt;br /&gt;thing - freedom. Bing may&lt;br /&gt;have a chance at stealing some search traffic away but a full&lt;br /&gt;blown overthrow of Google is highly exaggerated and highly unlikely.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For now and for the immediate future, Google is still King of&lt;br /&gt;the jungle.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So it is extremely important that you can get Google to do what&lt;br /&gt;you want them to do in regards to listing your site and keywords&lt;br /&gt;in their index. Higher to the top of the first page, the better&lt;br /&gt;you will do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Create great content and optimize your site for it in Google and&lt;br /&gt;usually everything else falls into place. However, sometimes&lt;br /&gt;Google can get a bit testy - what's a search engine without a&lt;br /&gt;few problems? What's life without a few problems?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Extremely pleasant!&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Over the years I have pretty much figured out enough about&lt;br /&gt;Google search in order to get my major keywords listed on&lt;br /&gt;the first page in their results. Sometimes in the top spot&lt;br /&gt;but mostly in the top 5 listings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now we are not talking about very competitive keywords that&lt;br /&gt;get 1000's of searches each day. Usually keyword phrases that&lt;br /&gt;get from 10 to 100 daily searches - believe me, all this quality&lt;br /&gt;traffic adds up very quickly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For the most part, Google has been very stable, that is: my&lt;br /&gt;keywords have remained on the first page for years. Of course,&lt;br /&gt;I am constantly creating new links with article marketing,&lt;br /&gt;unique content on my sites, ebooks, videos, software downloads...&lt;br /&gt;all providing link bait so that webmasters naturally link&lt;br /&gt;to my content because they believe their visitors will benefit&lt;br /&gt;by visiting my sites.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, recently all is not well in Google Land, for some&lt;br /&gt;puzzling reason or reasons - two of my most popular keywords&lt;br /&gt;have been bouncing like they're attached to a bungee cord.&lt;br /&gt;Popping in and out of Google's first page results. One week&lt;br /&gt;they're on the first page, next week they're down to around&lt;br /&gt;#50.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At first, this didn't worry me... Google was probably doing&lt;br /&gt;another one of their endless updates to their Algorithm (whole&lt;br /&gt;set of rules and math stuff they use to rank pages/keywords)&lt;br /&gt;and things usually settle back to normal in a few days or so.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Not this time, those competitive keywords have been erractic&lt;br /&gt;for months - and this after being very stable for over 3 or 4&lt;br /&gt;years. This has totally unsettled me to say the least.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;What do you do when Google doesn't do what you want them to do?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have been trying to figure out what's going on with these&lt;br /&gt;bouncing keywords? I have some possible reasons why these keywords&lt;br /&gt;are bouncing but with Google it is extremely hard to pin-point&lt;br /&gt;what exactly is happening... guess if we knew all of Google's&lt;br /&gt;secrets we would all be sitting pretty high in the rankings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, I have placed my whole investigation and findings in&lt;br /&gt;an article that may or may not be of help to you. Again, until&lt;br /&gt;I firmly pin-point my mistake and discover exactly what's happening,&lt;br /&gt;this keyword ranking issue in Google is still open.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I even went so far as to contact Matt Cutts in his blog about&lt;br /&gt;it but, of course, I knew I wouldn't get an answer. And this was&lt;br /&gt;rather foolish of me, but I thought Google's recent openness with&lt;br /&gt;webmasters would give me some information of what's going on&lt;br /&gt;in my case. It also shows my sense of frustration with those&lt;br /&gt;bouncing keywords and I will try anything to solve the problem.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, here's the keyword situation in more detail and what&lt;br /&gt;I (believe) to be causing this erratic bouncing of my keywords&lt;br /&gt;in Google.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/search_engine_marketing_mistake.htm"&gt;SEO Mistake&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Regards,&lt;br /&gt;Titus&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/"&gt;http://www.bizwaremagic.com/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-8867770398919395367?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/8867770398919395367'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/8867770398919395367'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/06/what-do-you-do-when-google-doesnt-do.html' title='What do you do when Google doesn&apos;t do what you want them to do?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-5118667191399711994</id><published>2009-06-06T04:48:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-06-06T04:49:47.315-07:00</updated><title type='text'>Can Microsoft's Bing Beat Google?</title><content type='html'>As a full-time online marketer I keep my eyes peeled to anything&lt;br /&gt;new that hits the web. Especially if it has anything to do with&lt;br /&gt;getting quality web traffic. My online income depends mainly on&lt;br /&gt;getting that quality traffic from the different search engines but&lt;br /&gt;mainly from Google which presently has control of roughly 70% of&lt;br /&gt;the web's search traffic.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now when any new search engine comes along, I have to&lt;br /&gt;take a very close look at it to see if it will give Google&lt;br /&gt;any serious competition. Most of these new search engines&lt;br /&gt;won't have a chance in hell of competing with Google - excuse&lt;br /&gt;my language but I think I needed to get this point across&lt;br /&gt;strongly to you.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, the new search engine from Microsoft called Bing&lt;br /&gt;could possibly give Google some serious competition.&lt;br /&gt;The chances are still unlikely because of Google's strong&lt;br /&gt;standing, but Bing should be watched closely to see if&lt;br /&gt;it cuts into Google's search numbers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, this is another one of those wordy research pieces&lt;br /&gt;looking at this issue... besides if you have a site you&lt;br /&gt;should already be optimizing it for Bing. Never know this&lt;br /&gt;search engine could take off, especially when you consider&lt;br /&gt;Microsoft can throw a lot of money at promoting/advertising&lt;br /&gt;it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am already seeing some traffic from Bing in my different&lt;br /&gt;sites' log stats so they have my attention. They should also&lt;br /&gt;have your attention...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway here is the article:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/06/05/can-microsofts-bing-beat-google-in-the-search-engine-wars/"&gt;Can Microsoft's Bing Beat Google In The Search Engine Wars?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-5118667191399711994?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/5118667191399711994'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/5118667191399711994'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/06/can-microsofts-bing-beat-google.html' title='Can Microsoft&apos;s Bing Beat Google?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-511474801064939761</id><published>2009-05-19T05:52:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-05-19T05:56:40.533-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google killer'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='new search engines'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='google'/><title type='text'>New Search Engines - Do We Have A Google Killer?</title><content type='html'>Likely &lt;b&gt;not&lt;/b&gt;, but the new crop of search engines does present&lt;br /&gt;some very intriguing alternatives to Google. Not that&lt;br /&gt;Google has anything to really worry about since its&lt;br /&gt;share of global search is constantly rising and it now has&lt;br /&gt;over 72% of the all-important U.S. search market.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But can Google remain static and still keep those&lt;br /&gt;search numbers rising... no. It has to adapt and&lt;br /&gt;change with the times. Google is doing exactly that;&lt;br /&gt;we are now seeing this recently with the new &lt;b&gt;"show options"&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;button at the top of Google SERPs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Still, can any of the new search engines give Google some&lt;br /&gt;real competition? Can any of these new kids on the block&lt;br /&gt;turn out to be a true Google killer?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One thing history has shown us, everything and everyone&lt;br /&gt;has its day and then fades into history. If you think&lt;br /&gt;Google is any different, you're dead wrong. Google's time&lt;br /&gt;in the spotlight will also &lt;b&gt;pass&lt;/b&gt; and we will have another&lt;br /&gt;new search engine that we will also swear will last forever.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The real question remains, is there a &lt;b&gt;potential&lt;/b&gt; Google Killer&lt;br /&gt;in the current offerings of search engines debuting on the web...&lt;br /&gt;can any of them truly take on the mighty Google.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Click here to find out: &lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/new_search_engines.htm"&gt;New Search Engines - Do We Have A Google Killer?&lt;/a&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-511474801064939761?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/511474801064939761'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/511474801064939761'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/05/new-search-engines-do-we-have-google.html' title='New Search Engines - Do We Have A Google Killer?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-4430862937180896517</id><published>2009-05-10T12:34:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-05-10T12:42:44.289-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='online marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='twitter'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='list building'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='webpronews'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='twitter search'/><title type='text'>Why Twitter Is Becoming So Important</title><content type='html'>&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;o Why Twitter Is Becoming So Important&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Twitter is becoming increasingly important for&lt;br /&gt;anyone marketing on the web. As a list building&lt;br /&gt;tool it simply can't be beat. It is attracting&lt;br /&gt;millions of users and growing quickly - ranked&lt;br /&gt;50th in terms of traffic by Alexa.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Twitter is posed to become such a major force - you&lt;br /&gt;just can't ignore it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How did such a simple glorified "text message" thingie&lt;br /&gt;get to be so big, so fast.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And the fun haven't even started yet!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recently, WebProNews reported Twitter will now be&lt;br /&gt;searchable and the content in the links in your messages&lt;br /&gt;will be &lt;b&gt;indexed and ranked&lt;/b&gt;. They will have an algorithmic&lt;br /&gt;ranking system much like the one Google has to rank it's&lt;br /&gt;index.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"According to CNET, Twitter's new VP of Operations Santosh&lt;br /&gt;Jayaram says that Twitter Search, which currently searches&lt;br /&gt;only the text of Twitter posts, will soon crawl links included&lt;br /&gt;in tweets, and index content from those pages."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is major news because we could potentially see a&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;True Rival&lt;/b&gt; for Google. Search engines can start&lt;br /&gt;from anywhere and a souped-up communication tool is a good&lt;br /&gt;a place as any. Besides, isn't online search only a way&lt;br /&gt;of passing along what you heard through the grapevine -&lt;br /&gt;basically sums it up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The only real puzzle regarding Twitter is why haven't Google&lt;br /&gt;snapped it up already. Some one is definitely sleeping on the job.&lt;br /&gt;Maybe it's just the recession or other popular takeovers like&lt;br /&gt;YouTube are proving too hard to monetize... doubt that very much&lt;br /&gt;because YT has now become virtually obliterated with Adsense ads...&lt;br /&gt;it's even hard to watch the videos anymore.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can't imagine what a Google owned Twitter would look like.&lt;br /&gt;Each tweet could come with a text ad? A ballot box? A vote?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course, this is all pure speculation, but stranger things&lt;br /&gt;have happened on the web. Google buying Twitter would be a&lt;br /&gt;slight yarn.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Guess, the real question should be: if not Google, than who?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Or maybe Twitter will grow armor, hang tough and expand into&lt;br /&gt;a truly online democratic search engine. Then take on Google&lt;br /&gt;in a few years...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But for right now, Twitter has become important in its own&lt;br /&gt;right... find out more about Twitter here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/05/08/why-twitter-is-becoming-so-important/"&gt;Twitter's Importance Is Growing&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Or:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://twitter.com/bizwaremagic"&gt;&lt;img alt="Twitter - Bizwaremagic" align="left" src="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/followme-twitter.jpg" width="190" height="65" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Kind Regards,&lt;br /&gt;Titus&lt;br /&gt;www.bizwaremagic.com&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-4430862937180896517?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/4430862937180896517'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/4430862937180896517'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/05/why-twitter-is-becoming-so-important.html' title='Why Twitter Is Becoming So Important'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-6045295968315912112</id><published>2009-05-02T06:06:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-05-02T06:16:11.219-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='video marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='online marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='site-reference'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='marketing tools'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='susan boyle'/><title type='text'>Should You Use Videos In Your Online Marketing?</title><content type='html'>Videos are everywhere on the web. It's no wonder that&lt;br /&gt;marketers have taken advantage of this growing trend in&lt;br /&gt;using videos to get their message across.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But the question remains - should you use videos in your&lt;br /&gt;own online marketing or promotions?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most savvy marketers would say it would be "foolish" for&lt;br /&gt;any webmaster or marketer NOT to use videos in their&lt;br /&gt;promotions. Videos are the perfect tools for communicating&lt;br /&gt;your message quickly and easily to your audience. It works&lt;br /&gt;much better than just a static webpage or content.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Videos can bring life to any content or message.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Despite all this, I have myself been rather slow in taking&lt;br /&gt;advantage of videos in my own online marketing. Once you&lt;br /&gt;get set in your ways - it is some times hard to change what&lt;br /&gt;you're doing... especially if you have become successful&lt;br /&gt;at doing it. The old static websites are more my style.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, I have seen the light and I am now starting to use&lt;br /&gt;videos or other sites using my content have put them into&lt;br /&gt;videos such as the one below from www.site-reference.com&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;div id="sr_video_container"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"&gt;Get the Flash Player&lt;/a&gt; to see this player.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.site-reference.com/swfobject.js"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt; var s1 = new SWFObject("http://www.site-reference.com/player/player.swf","ply","480","392","9","#FFFFFF"); s1.addParam("allowfullscreen","true");s1.addParam("allowscriptaccess","always"); s1.addParam("flashvars","file=http://www.site-reference.com/videos/sr_video_29.flv&amp;image=http://www.site-reference.com/videos/sr_video_29.jpg&amp;skin=http://www.site-reference.com/player/inverted.swf"); s1.write("sr_video_container");&lt;/script&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.site-reference.com/page-movie.php?id=29"&gt;8 SEO Techniques Every Webmaster Should Know&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I must admit, videos are just as effective, if not more effective&lt;br /&gt;than article marketing. It brings in a whole new audience of people&lt;br /&gt;who simply don't have the time to read an article. Put your article&lt;br /&gt;into a short video and you will get more viewers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Videos are just another way of getting your message out there.&lt;br /&gt;And it is very effective, especially for word-of-mouth advertising...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just ask Susan Boyle?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Overnight, your content could be spread all over the web and beyond.&lt;br /&gt;It's a marketing tool every webmaster and marketer should be&lt;br /&gt;using. End of story.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Google now lists about 28,700,000 pages for "Susan Boyle"!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Make that one more page...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For more on video marketing, try here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.bizwaremagic.com/weblog/2009/05/01/videos-should-you-use-them-in-your-marketing/"&gt;Video Marketing&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Cheers,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Titus&lt;br /&gt;http://www.bizwaremagic.com&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/25803826-6045295968315912112?l=bizwaremagic.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/6045295968315912112'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/25803826/posts/default/6045295968315912112'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://bizwaremagic.blogspot.com/2009/05/should-you-use-videos-in-your-online.html' title='Should You Use Videos In Your Online Marketing?'/><author><name>Titus Hoskins</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17262918830777040425</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='OpenSocialUserId' value='08439735569657153062'/></author></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25803826.post-8957730192026928722</id><published>2009-04-17T05:12:00.000-07:00</published><updated>2009-04-17T05:16:27.339-07:00</updated><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='internet marketing tools'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='online marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='keyword marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='keywords'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='search engine marketing'/><category scheme='http://www.blogger.com/atom/ns#' term='internet marketing'/><title type='text'>How to find Profitable Keywords?</title><content type='html'>Profitable keywords are the building blocks of your online marketing.&lt;br /&gt;Mainly because finding and using the right keywords will be essential&lt;br /&gt;to your online success and will largely determine the viability of your&lt;br /&gt;online business.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keywords are ground zero.
