o Into The Mix - YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook...

First, you have to realize the web is changing
at a blistering rate... just look at those
social media sites above, a few years ago
none of these sites existed.

Now they are the top-ranked sites in the world.

If you have a website or are marketing on the
net you must keep up with what's happening.
These social bookmark or media sites have
been become extremely important if you want
to stay in the mix.

You must tie-in or connect your site or sites
to these top-ranked social media sites. For
SEO linking reasons if nothing else... I believe
Google will favor these 'community/run/voted'
sites more and more in their index rankings.

Why do I think this?

From first-hand experience, let me explain,
if you go to google and type in "Internet
Facts" - you will see my site in the #1 spot.

Now, "internet facts" is not one of my
targeted keywords but awhile back this
page on my site was 'socially bookmarked'
in Digg by one of my site's visitors.

I had over 70,000 visitors to my site
in one day. Now this traffic from a marketing
point of view was rather worthless -
very temporary and fleeting.

But what I didn't realize at the time - how
important these social bookmark links
are to your search engine rankings... it's
over 3 months later and my site is still
number #1 for that keyword.

It points out the growing importance of
these social media sites in your overall
rankings in the search engines - or at
least in Google which is the main one.

Don't ignore these social bookmark sites
or you might regret it later on down the
road when these sites become even more
important.

o Is Social Network Marketing For You?

Since I have been exploring these types
of sites - I try to find the quality ones.
Ones that I am proud to be a member of...
no it's MySpace or FaceBook, although
I am member of those too!

One site that I am exploring the whole
social networking and social marketing
topic with is SelfGrowth.com - this site
is run by David Riklan and is "the # 1 Ranked
website for Self Improvement on the Internet,
getting over 1 Million visitors per month."

David and SelfGrowth are building a whole
network of experts... people who are experts
in their different fields. Most of us
are experts at something in our lives...
most of us have a special hobby or interest
that we know more about than the person sitting
next to us. It's an unwritten fact of life!

If you feel you are an expert in a subject
than you should have a look at SelfGrowth.

SelfGrowth.com

Once accepted as an expert you can create
your own "Expert Page" and start building
your social network of like-minded people.

You can link to your sites, products,
newsletters... etc.

My own page is here:

http://selfgrowth.com/experts/titus_hoskins.html

SelfGrowth has over 3000 experts and this
number is growing fast... I recommend you
give it a try. Keep thinking ahead. Always.

o Social Media Tactics That Work For Me

Getting involved with these 'Social Bookmark'
sites can be really easy. One tactic that
has worked wonders for my traffic and
rankings is a simple 'Bookmark' tool
offered thru Addthis.com

You just put their Social Bookmark button
on your pages or content - let your
visitors bookmark and build links for you!

Get the free bookmark button here:

Addthis.com

Another good site that has worked for me
is BlogRush - you join a network of
blogs that let you display your postings
on other people's blogs. Exchanging links.

This site is run by John Reese and the
quality is excellent. If you have a
popular blog - this is a great way of
making it more popular.

Join this blog network here:

Perhaps the simplest tactic to use -
just make sure you join all these
social media or network sites. They
don't cost anything... and they work.

Get a MySpace account, get a FaceBook
account... try out and use Digg, Reddit,
Squidoo...

Keep thinking ahead. Always.

Hope this helps!

o Google

I have said this many times before, if you're into
online marketing - Google will play an important
part in your success. Especially, if you go the
SEO route like I have done and aim for #1 rankings
in the search engines.

I never really starting seeing any kind of results
until my keywords started appearing on the first
pages in Google. If you get your sites listed
for top ranked keywords in Google - it is almost
impossible NOT to earn revenue.

But don't think this is the only way to earn
revenue online - it is not. Actually there are
many different and easier ways to make a living
online. Building your own list or relationships
with other marketers is the easiest way. Creating
your own product. Using PPC (Pay Per Click) to market
to your niche...

Over the years, I have developed ways other than
the search engines (Google) to earn revenue. Always
have different or multiple streams (ways) of earning
so if one area dries up - you will still have others
working for you.

Likewise, I have created numerous sites and promote
hundreds of companies and product - if any one
product/company goes under or changes direction,
you have the others to fall back on. Same thing
with having more than one site.

Having said all that, like most online marketers,
for me Google is still the most important factor
in my web marketing. For that reason, I try to
read and obtain every bit of information on Google
that I can possibly get. The more knowledge you
have, the better you will succeed with Google.

In that light, I have written the following
article on Google and marketing. It's a frank
but lighthearted look at where I think Google
and web marketing is going...

................
Feature Article
................

o Internet Marketing In The Google Age

Forget the Computer Age or the Internet Age, centuries from
now our current time will probably be referred to as the
Google Age. This assumption is not exactly a great leap
of faith; Google has quickly permeated into mainstream
culture to become an underlying factor of everyday life,
a tightly woven backdrop to our lives.

But never make the mistake of trying to define Google
as just a search engine or you will miss the true calling
of this little "Backrub", which was the original name used
by its founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1996.

Google as we now know it debuted in 1998. The name Google
is a twist on the word Googol, a number represented as 1
followed by 100 zeros. After everything is said and done,
it will more than likely refer to Google's net worth -
monetary or otherwise.

But forget search engine, for regardless of the founders'
intentions or company's objectives, Google is and has always
been the ultimate marketing machine. A massive marketing
machine that is just now gearing up and aiming for more
and more lofty heights. These heights seem to increase
each day as Google quietly rolls out program after program.

All noble ambitions aside, Google is the perfect marketing
machine. Google has no equals, and it is very close to getting
a stranglehold on the real power behind all marketing, which
is information.

Marketing is information. Information is marketing.

Great marketing is supplying the right information at the
right time. Google more than any other entity on the web
or in the world, for that matter, fulfills this criterion
at its very core. Google is re-writing the book on how
products are marketed.

Google now has over 60% of the search traffic in the U.S.,
with a staggering 7.3 billion monthly searches. In some countries
Google's search share is 80% or more. (Source: comScore) Those
webmasters who have number one keyword listings in all three
of the major search engines will know Google is the only game
worth playing because it delivers by far the most traffic.

While MSN and Yahoo! are still major players and are listed
in the top 5 traffic sites on the web, what most people don't
realize is that (unlike the other two) almost all of Google's
traffic is search traffic. From a marketing perspective this
is extremely important since search traffic can deliver the
highest conversions (sales) mainly because it lets you capture
the potential customer or client when they are in the right
mindset to buy or to perform an action.

Obviously the key to successful marketing is finding the
buyers and clients for your products and services. Google
has forged itself as the ultimate "middleman" as more and
more of the world's business is performed in cyberspace.
And as everyone knows the "middleman" can reap huge profits
and hold enormous power.

Google, within its Adsense program, now offers CPA or Cost
Per Action where marketers can now receive larger returns
for displaying Google's links on their webpages. As any
professional marketer will tell you, you can get 10 times
the revenue by promoting affiliate products rather than the
Adsense code on your sites. But by adding CPA and other
affiliate products within the Adsense program, Google has
made it more attractive to serious online marketers.

Another step in that same direction is Google's acquisition
of DoubleClick, which includes the massive online affiliate
marketing network Performics. This means Google can now bring
any customer full-circle from initial search to checkout.

This may have dire consequences for large, lucrative third-party
affiliate networks like Commission Junction and LinkShare.
Online marketing and ecommerce is growing at a blistering rate,
and the company that controls the majority of these transactions
will wield enormous power. Will make the Medici look like paupers.

Those marketers who have managed to acquire number one listings
for their targeted keywords in Google's organic search are
smiling all the way to the bank. Mainly because Google commands
enormous trust with the surfing/buying public and this is
demonstrated through higher conversion rates. Likewise,
those who have mastered the Adsense and Adwords programs
will know Google is an excellent source of online income.

Most of the complaints against Google stems from its PageRank
system, which is supposed to be Google's version of online
democracy in action, a link is a vote for your page or content.
The higher the number of links, the higher your page will be
ranked in Google's index or SERPs - Search Engine Results Pages.

So far Google has played fair, giving even the smallest webmaster
the opportunity to capture top Google listings if they produce
superior or popular content to the surfer. Some would even argue
Google's recent crackdown on sites offering paid-links can be
seen as evening the playing field for the small webmaster or
marketer who obviously doesn't have the economic clout or
resources to buy their way to the top of Google's listings.

Keyword rankings may be the ultimate equalizer and determiner
of online wealth. Those who can reach the top positions for
their chosen profitable niche keywords will have companies
and service providers lining up to do business with them.
The fallout can prove extremely lucrative for both parties.

However, few marketers or webmasters forget who is really
holding the cards; Google controls all steps along this
marketing tunnel with its search listings, Adwords and
Adsense programs. The only dark spot on the horizon could
be monopoly issues, but Google probably has enough reservoirs
of public goodwill and deep enough corporate pockets to squash
any claims.

As Google's dominance in the search market becomes greater,
Google will have control of all segments of the online
marketplace. Why should Google stop there, why not go into
Radio, TV... as the Internet gradually mutates into a
billion+ interactive TV channel universe (as many believe
it will) who do you think will be at control central
offering you a nice free remote?

Then there is also Google's planned broadband 700 MHz bid;
one can only speculate on Google's intentions. But Google
must find a way to transmit its information at no cost to
its users. Could it mean free wireless Internet for everyone
on free Google boxes or gadgets of some form, usable and
accessible anywhere in the world? Anything is possible because
the stakes are so astronomical and the marketing revenue so
vast, Google must get its information seamlessly and instantly
to the end user at all costs.

One can only guess at the enormity of the marketing power
Google will yield in coming years as the Internet slips
out of its teen years. But it won't be just marketing,
the influence of Google on all aspects of our lives will
probably grow exponentially and that influence will be huge.

For the true power of Google is only just now beginning to
be glimpsed; only as more and more of the Google pieces
fall into place will we truly fathom what life will be
like in the Google Age. Google's power, reverence and
respect will no doubt be so enormous it may lead some
to make comparisons to a higher power that has guided
most of the life on this planet so far. Which could also
lead one to muse, at least they got the first two letters
correct.

o Shortcut to Google

As you probably know by now, one of the fastest
ways to get your content/site indexed in Google is
to use the Social Media sites like Digg, Reddit,
Slashdot...

Web 2.0, Blogging, Social Bookmarking.... these
are the quickest ways to get your pages listed
in Google. And recently Google seems to have
placed more emphasis on these social sites when
ranking content.

And there is no reason why you can't have a simple
blog and RSS feed on your site. Just use:

http://wwww.wordpress.com
http://www.blogger.com

Plus, one of the easiest way to get your site
listed in these social media sites is to place
a social "Bookmark Button" on your site.

This one has worked for me:

http://www.addthis.com

It sent over 70,000 visitors to one of my sites
in one day!

To ping your RSS feeds and blogs use:

http://www.autopinger.com

If you're totally new or confused about
the whole RSS/Blog system explained above

o Getting Instant Listings In Google

Getting your pages and content listed in Google's
index is vital to your online success. That's why
I am devoting all of this newsletter to this subject.

First, you must understand how important getting
your pages into Google really is? Many people don't
know why Google carries such heavy weight in the
online search market.

Recent surveys have put Google's share of the
total world's online search at around 55%. But in
the important U.S. market it is now at around 65%
and for those marketing their products in the
States that's extremely important.

Those webmasters who have number #1 listings for
their keywords in all three major search engines
Yahoo!, MSN and Google - will tell you Google sends
by far the most traffic.

In other words if you want massive traffic for
your keywords you must get top listings in Google.

Why is this?

If you check with Alexa you will see that Yahoo!
and MSN are listed along with Google as the Top
Five most visited sites in the world. But what
you have to understand that all of Google's traffic
is search traffic (unlike the other two's traffic).

Google dominates the search market, in some countries
their share is as high as 90%. Keep in mind, Google
is also important because the surfing public respects
and trusts Google. If you want buying customers,
this is vital to your success.

You must get your pages listed in Google search, the
closer to the number #1 spot the better. Thankfully,
getting your pages and keywords listed or indexed
in Google is not difficult. In fact it is extremely
easy to do and anyone can do it.

Google has changed how they do business.

You must understand Google is constantly changing
and recently their index listings have been changing
daily. Once they would only update their index every
4 or 5 months - now it is almost happening instantly.

Here's just one example of how I know this:

Google has placed a lot of importance on social
bookmark traffic. Anything submitted to these
social bookmark sites such as Digg, Propeller,
Delicious... the so-called Web 2.0 trend... are
indexed almost instantly.

For example, I usually place this newsletter in
my online Blogger.com (www.bizwaremagic.blogspot.com)
blog and it is instantly indexed by Google.
Granted Blogger is owned by Google but this
works with any blog.

How do I know it gets indexed in Google?

I use Google Alerts which tells me when my
site appears in the Google Index.
http://www.google.com/alerts

Here is how you can your content spidered
and indexed by Google.

First make sure your site has Blog and RSS
feed. I use the free WordPress software to
place at least one blog on all my sites.

Once you have a blog, first make a post to it
containing your targeted keywords. And second,
submit a small part of your post to sites like
Digg and Propeller. Bookmark your post in sites
like Delicious and Reddit. Finally, you ping the
bookmark RSS feeds with sites like Pingomatic
and Autopinger.

Simple and effective way to get your pages
and keywords spidered and indexed in Google.

If all this sounds a bit complicated and you're
scratching your head???

Another easlier way I found to do all the above
steps is to let your visitors do it for you!

Late last year, I started adding the free simple
social bookmark tool supplied by Addthis.com
This social bookmark button lets your visitors
bookmark your content (pages) in all the
social sites for you. This method is slower
and your content must be good enough so your
visitors would want to share it with others.

I have received hundreds of listings in the
different sites and one of my pages was even
make it to the front page of Digg - resulting
in 70,000 visitors to my site in one day.

As Google places more and more importance on
the whole social bookmarketing scene... you
must get your site or sites into this mix.
Your site will be constantly spidered and
indexed.

So to recap here are some of the sites and
free tools you will need to take advantage
of the social bookmarking sites and to get
Google to instantly index your site. (Mone
of these are affiliate links or try to sell
you something!)

To place a blog and RSS feed on your site use:

http://wwww.wordpress.com

To place a social bookmark button on yoursite use:

http://www.addthis.com

To ping your RSS feeds and blogs use:

you might want to download my simple

Finally, how to know when your new pages or
site receives new listings in Google:

I Hope you will try these simple steps I have explained

in Google almost immediately.

o New Marketing Strategies for 2008

We are already 4 days into the New Year and before
you know it 2008 will also be history.

Will you be further ahead in 2008? Or will you
be further behind?

The beginning of a new year is good time to take
a hard look at your website(s) and your online
marketing. I always make a point of taking "stock"
of where I am and where I want to go.

It is also a great time to closely look at other
people's systems and see what they're doing and
what you're not. It is also a good time to
re-design and update your sites.

With this is mind, this newsletter is about trying
new things and looking at ways to re-design your
sites and marketing.

In running two Internet Marketing sites, I see
countless systems and marketing strategies.
I read hundreds of sales letters and offers...
and pit these strategies against my own experience
as a full-time online marketer.

With that in mind, I would like to suggest
you try some of the following things below.

Now is the time for action.

o Re-design Your Site

One of the most helpful sites on the web
for getting online marketing right is "Stompernet".

If you're not familiar with this site you're
losing out on some of the best marketing information
on the web. These guys know their stuff and they
give most of it away for free.

Here's one of their video on site design and how
to double your conversions or sales:

http://www.stompernet.net/goingnatural2/

After watching this video I re-designed my main
site's homepage to the suggestions on this video.
My site is now cleaner, more streamlined and
much easier to read.

http://www.bizwaremagic.com

When doing any re-design of my site, I always
check to see what it looks like in other
browsers. I use this site:

http://www.anybrowser.com

And I also check the download times of my sites here:

http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/

This site will give you ways to improve your
site and make the necessary changes to get your
site to load faster.

Hope you can use the above links to improve you
site or sites. The New Year is good time to
do this.

.....

o The Lazy Affiliate

As I mentioned before, I read hundreds of sales letters
but none of them looked or sounded like this one.

What a relief!

This person has the affiliate marketing game figured
out nicely and I found the sales letter alone worth the
read. It presents a no-nonsense, no-hype look at
affiliate marketing and how you can make it work
for you in 2008.

If you're looking for new direction or a way to
increase your online income, I highly recommend
you take a look:

.....

o Marlon Sanders' Info-Product Dashboard

Another way to greatly increase your chances of
success in 2008 is to produce your OWN product.

This is easier than you might think.

Marlon Sanders has come out with another of his
Dashboard series...

Info-Product Dashboard

He takes you through all the steps you need to
take in making your own info-product: be it video,
audio, or ebook. Handy little system that will get
you started on your own info-product.

Try it here:

.....

o SBI Famous 2 for 1 Sale

Site Build It by Ken Evoy is still one
of the best ways to start your online
business. And you can still get the
2 for 1 Sale until Jan. 4th.

If you're new to online marketing, SBI
is the best system to go with - it will
give you everything you need to succeed
online.

If you want to change your life in 2008,
now is the time to act:
