I was rather pleased to hear someone is finally
putting out a professional magazine on Internet
Marketing. This is a 'real' magazine delivered
to your door or news stand. As online marketing
becomes more 'professionalized' it will be a good
thing to have and read.

Online marketing, working on the web and Internet
marketing are still all new to the general public.
I still get double takes and some strange stares
when I first tell people I work full-time marketing
on the Internet.

As more and more people work online, it will be a
little more easier to explain to someone what you do.
But for now explaining affiliate marketing, Google
Adsense, PPC, etc. etc. even to close family and friends
can be a major chore - for those not into online marketing
these terms are foreign.

Be nice to have an online marketing magazine lying on
the coffee table. Not to mention all the information
and articles that will be in there...

Anyway, you check out new magazine here:

If you want to join the new cyber workforce & fully
embrace the Internet as your main source of income,
you must first obtain a good online marketing training.
Here are some of the best places to start your own search...

So you want to be an Internet Marketer? You want
to be your own boss. You want to set your own hours
and work from the comfort of your own home, no matter
where in the world you choose to live. You simply want
the freedom working on the web gives you.

Realistically, the only major obstacle in your way
is a good solid training or education in how online
marketing really works.

So just how does one earn a living online?

No doubt you have heard all the over-hyped stories
of how some nearly comatose dim-wit with just a few
functioning brain cells makes a financial killing online.
Or how some geeky high school kid working on a
computer in his parent's basement, cracks the formula
for making big bucks on the net.

However, if you can dismiss all the bogus claims and
see through all the marketing hype, you will find
thousands upon thousands of very ordinary people
quietly working on the web and making a very decent
living from the comfort of their own homes.

All of them had to acquire the skills and knowledge
needed to become part of this new cyber workforce.
Each one had to obtain a good education or training
in order to make the web work for them. They had to
discover the techniques and methods of making a
website or online business produce revenue 24/7/365,
earning income automatically even while they're
sleeping.

Different Ways To Earn Online Income

Complicating the whole process is the fact that there
are countless ways to earn income on the web. You can
build websites and earn money thru advertising, you can
sell your own products or services, you can do affiliate
marketing and sell other people's products, you can
become a consultant and sell your expertise, you can
work the eBay system, you can do Google arbitrage
buying and selling traffic... these are just a few
of the countless ways you can earn a living online.

One obvious fact still remains - you have to learn
this stuff. You have to know how all this works. You
have to obtain an Internet marketing training or
education.

Like any profession it is best to learn from someone
who is actually pursuing that profession, simply learn
your trade from another reputable online marketer.
Unfortunately, this can be a virtual minefield if you're
not careful in your choice of educator you may end up
wasting a lot of time and money on foolish 'get-rich-quick'
programs and useless info products that you will never use.

With this thought fresh in your mind, here are some
of the most worthwhile teachers and training courses
you might consider. All of these have earned solid
reputations for producing effective online marketing
products and courses.

These should make the top of your short list:

Ken Evoy & SBI

Ken Evoy and his whole Site Build It system. A comprehensive
online marketing system that takes even the most complete
novice and shows them step-by-step how to build a web business.
Sometimes referred to as "The Full Monty Of eMarketing!"
You can now take the SBI training in over 18 universities
and colleges.

Brad Callen

Brad Callen and his SEO and Keyword Elite products. For
the professional marketer Brad has not only developed
some of the best marketing tools, he has created a whole
series of training lessons with videos, ebooks and podcasts
as bonus incentives to buy his Bryxen Software products.

John Reese

John Reese with his Traffic Secrets gained notoriety in
online marketing circles by selling over a million dollars
in just one day. Recently, John has devoted his time around
Income.com which offers many great free training products.

Joel Comm

Joel Comm with his Adsense line of products, plus the
first reality show for online marketers: The Next Internet
Millionaire. This reality type concept had to happen with
Internet marketing and Joel is bringing in some top names
including Armand Morin, Mike Filsaime and Mark Joyner who
is often referred to as the Godfather of Internet marketing.

Marlon Sanders

Marlon Sanders and his whole line of Higher Response
Marketing products including the Amazing Formula. Another
one of the pioneers of Internet marketing and a great
source to learn how to market on the web.

Neil Shearing

Neil Shearing with his Scamfreezone products is another
remarkable online teacher. With a PHD and British background,
Neil is often credited with bringing a high level of professionalism
to the often over-hyped arena of Internet marketing.

Jim Daniels

Jim Daniels with BizWeb2000 is another marketer who
has built up a solid following on the web. One of the
first marketers in the States to popularize working
full-time online.

Kenneth A. McArthur

Kenneth A. McArthur with Affiliate Showcase and his Learning
Folders. Ken is also one of the top JV (Joint Venture) experts
on the web with his jvAlert site.

Other Training Sources

Then there are others such as Janet Wilson (Empowerism),
Mike Merz (Im4newbies), Micheal Green (Howtocorp), Stone
Evans (The Home Biz Guy), Brad Fallon (Stomper & FreeIQ)
and Yanek Silver (33 Days To Online Profits).

Of course, these are just the top names that spring to mind
and they are good starting points for anyone wishing to
explore Internet marketing. In addition, you must realize
many large companies are now getting involved in training
webmasters and marketers on how to earn online.

Google

Google offers extensive information with their webmaster
tools as well as their Adwords and Adsense programs. Don't
overlook Google as your major source of online training.
For those willing to learn, Google gives any marketer
invaluable free information and tools in which to monetize
their sites. Google Analytics should be consider as
the online marketer's primer.

Affiliate Networks

Large affiliate networks like Commission Junction, LinkShare,
ClickBank, Shareasale... should also be considered as
valuable learning resources for the online marketer. These
companies will help you succeed with your promotions and
marketing.

PPC Companies

Likewise, the major PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising companies
will offer valuable tools and training. Yahoo!Marketing (Overture)
Microsoft Adcenter and Google Adwords all offer excellent
resources to help the online marketer proceed in the right direction.

Web CEO

In addition, there are companies like Web CEO which offer
training products not only to individuals but also to companies
as well, helping over 360,000+ businesses in 124 countries
and counting.

Take The Backdoor!

Perhaps, in the final analysis, any person wishing to
learn Internet marketing can draw a hands-on training
from any of theses individuals or companies listed above.
Also remember, acquiring training from these parties
does not have to cost you a fortune for almost all have a
convenient backdoor. They offer affiliate programs which
you can join at no cost and most will train you how to market
their products, offering you a valuable education in
online marketing in the process.

The prudent student will no doubt take information from
many of the sources listed above and proceed with the one
that suits their own personality and working habits. For
in the end, unlike traditional jobs of the past, becoming
a full-time online marketer is all about satisfying your
own needs and objectives.

It's all about building a lifestyle that offers you the freedom
to pursue your own goals and interests in whatever location
you choose to live. Internet marketing offers everyone,
regardless of age or background an equal opportunity, to
obtain a part or full-time income from the web. Earning a
living simply doesn't get any better than this.

o Marketing Tip: The Google PageRank PR Toolbar

The Google PR Toolbar in SEO circles is a hotly debated
item - as are most issues dealing with Google. Some say
it's useless, others say it gives you a general overview
of your site's standing in Google. Regardless of who
is right, this Toolbar shouldn't be ignored nor worshipped,
just closely watched.

The Google PR Toolbar is a simple tool you can download
and place on your browser. When you surf the web, this
toolbar will give you Google PR or Page Rank for that
particular site or page - Google ranks all pages from
0 to 10. This scale is more like the Richter Earthquake
Scale than an equal one-to-ten scale, there's a big
difference in the rankings as you go up and they
are not proportional.
Google PR Toolbar

Many suggest Google is not giving us the real value
of the page and this toolbar is out of date and more
of a smokescreen than real information about a site.
There's a lot of truth in this as Google never gives
up all its secrets. Does any company?

I have always used the Google PR Toolbar and find
it helpful in assessing what Google thinks of a site
or page. I rarely link out from sites anymore but if
I do I always check any potential linking partners
to see their PR. Any site with PR5 or over I will link
to it if that site is related and has high rankings for
my own targeted keyword phrases.

Sometimes I will link to a lower PR3 or PR4 site if I
know the content on that site is extremely good and
know it is only a matter of time before Google upgrades
that site to a PR5 or PR6.

I believe the Toolbar is very helpful in showing what
Google thinks of your pages. Over the years, I have
experienced my main website at a PR1 level and I have
experienced it at a PR6 level. Believe me - the PR6 is
better. I would take the current PR6 level any day!
Can't imagine what a PR8 site would be like to run.

High PR means better rankings for your site and your
keyword phrases. It simply means more targeted traffic
and more sales. If you're optimizing for Google, you
should do everything you can to get the highest PR
you can possibly get.

I have found one of the quickest ways to raise your
Google PR is to get one-way links from high PR6, PR7
and PR8 sites. (Think Article Marketing!) Google
considers these links a votes for your site and ranks
your site or page accordingly. Get enough of these
incoming one-way links and your PR will go up.

It will show you all the PRs of all the links
on a webpage - both internal and external. Extremely
helpful when you're checking out any site or page.

Kind Regards

Titus

o Web CEO - 360,000+ Businesses and Counting

Tthis may sound obvious to everyone, but you have
to learn how Internet Marketing works. You have to
know your stuff. You have to know what works and
what doesn't work.

This is the key to running a successful online
site or business. There are many ways to learn
Internet marketing - most of us do it the hard way -
by the 'old trial and error' method. From personal
experience I can tell you this method can get very
costly. And you waste a lot of time in the process.

What really makes learning this stuff so difficult
is the countless ways you can earn income online
- you can do it thru affiliate marketing, PPC
advertising, building contact lists, selling your
own products, promoting your own business services...
and the list goes on.

If you are a regular reader of this newsletter
you will know SBI is my favorite place to send
beginners to learn how to market online. Site
Build It is run by Ken Evoy and it's 'The Full
Monty!' It gives you all the tools and knowledge
to market on the web. (Take the video tour
below if you don't believe me!)

However, there are other ways of learning
the 'ins and outs' of Internet marketing.
Another popular way is Web CEO, especially
for companies and businesses operating on the
web.

Web CEO comes highly recommended. It is used by more
than 360,000+ businesses in 124 countries. Some of
their clients are top names in business: IBM, Nissan
and Paypal.

With Web CEO you get professional training on how
to run a web business. This includes Professional
Training and Hardcopy Certification from Web CEO
University!

Right now, Web CEO is running some Special Discounts,
over 50% off so this might be a good time to have a
look at what they're offering. Everything comes with
30-day guarantee of full refund.

This deal runs until May 31th.

o How To Stay Out Of Google Hell!

Google's Supplemental Index is one place you don't
want your site or pages to end up. It is often
referred to as Google Hell. I recently did some
research on this topic and found out some interesting
stuff - especially what Google's main spokesman
Matt Cutts had to say about it... read this article
to get the details.
....

Google's Supplemental Index - What You Need To Know

If you run an online website or business you have
probably already heard about Google's Supplemental
Index. You may have even heard it being referred to
as Google's Gulag, Google's Digital Dungeon, or the
moniker that seems to have stuck: Google Hell.

Hate it or love it, webmasters are passionate about
the big G. There's no argument on that point for one
good reason: Google simply delivers the most search
engine traffic on the web. For any webmaster with at
least a few white SEO connected brain cells Google
can supply 60% or more of their traffic.

Therefore, suddenly getting the majority of your
pages thrown into Google's Supplemental Index can
result in a correlating drop in business. A few
examples of this were reported in a recent Forbes
article by Andy Greenberg entitled "Condemned To
Google Hell".

It recounts how two online jewelry businesses lost
traffic and sales by having their pages falling into
Google's Supplemental Index. They speculated on what
had caused this to happen: duplicate content? buying
links?

Matt Cutts, Google's main spokesperson (some say pacifier)
to worried webmasters everywhere, responded in his own
blog:

"Having urls in the supplemental results doesn’t mean
that you have some sort of penalty at all; the main
determinant of whether a url is in our main web index
or in the supplemental index is PageRank."

However, regardless of what Google maintains, being
in the supplemental results is not a good thing for any
webmaster or business. Just the fact it's called a
supplemental index means it's not as important as the
main index. This index is seen as duplicate pages, less
important or less trusted by Google, thus the lower PR.

All semantics aside, webmasters should try to keep
their important web pages out of this supplemental
index. Why would anyone be satisfied with having their
pages or website buried in dusty boxes in the backroom
when they want them displayed on the Front Store Window,
preferably in the #1 spot?

Lately, despite webmasters' wishes, Google seems to
be placing more emphasis on the Supplemental Index
and putting more pages there. One can only guess, but
it may have to do with improving their SERPs - the more
relevant Google's search results become, the higher quality
their flagship product will achieve. Or it may just be
an easier way of spidering and managing all those
countless pages that exist on the web.

Regardless, you do not want your pages in this Supplemental
Index unless they are really unimportant pages and these
can have the 'no follow' attributes in the robots txt file.
However, you still need to check this supplemental index
for your own pages.

Simple Way To Check Google's Supplemental Index

You can go to Google search and type in:

site:www.yoursite.com *** -sjpked

replacing 'yoursite' with your domain/site to see
what pages are indexed in Google's Supplemental Index.

If you see any important pages there you should
check your whole linking structure of your site.
Are these pages linked properly? Are they orphaned?
Are they well positioned in your internal site
architecture? If there are obvious interior
linking problems with these pages, fix them.

It is also a good idea to see what percentage
of your pages are in this index.

How To Calculate Your Supplemental Index Ratio

You can get your percentage of Supplemental results
by dividing the number of pages in the supplemental
index by the total number of pages in the main index.

site:www.yoursite.com *** -sjpked

___________________________________

site:www.yoursite.com

This will give you a good indication of the overall
health of your site. If you have too high a ratio
or too many pages in the supplemental index you
should fix your site's linking structure and remove
duplicate pages. Make sure robots can crawl all of
your pages or at least the ones you want them to crawl.

If you do find your site or too many of your pages
in Google's Digital Attic, simply try to increase
the PageRank of those pages. This is the main remedy
supplied by Matt Cutts:

"The approach I’d recommend in that case is to use
solid white-hat SEO to get high-quality links (e.g.
editorially given by other sites on the basis of merit)."

In other words, raise your PageRank to get those pages
out of the supplemental index. This has always been
the basic key to getting traffic from Google. Quality
content plus quality links equals quality traffic from
Google.

Likewise: QC + QL = No Supplemental Index

It is always a good practice to keep on the good
side of Google. No need to be paranoid, but you
don't want to do anything to bring unwanted attention
to your site, especially the kind of attention that
get your pages thrown into Google Supplemental Index
in the first place. Besides, you never know how long
it will take to get your pages back out and into
the main index where they truly belong. Rumor has it,
that place takes forever to freeze over!

o Marketing Tip: The New Google Analytics

Google recently upgraded and improved their Website Analytics
program. This has been one of my most favorite marketing
tools for quite some time. Every webmaster should be using
Google Analytics.

First of all - it's free.

Second it very easy to use - just add a few lines of simple
javascript code to the pages you want monitored. Google Analytics
will track and give you valuable information about your site.

Most of all it will help you make more conversions (sales)
from your online marketing.

The new Google Analytics is more streamlined and easier
to read. At a glance you can get valuable information

Number of Visits
Pages/Visit
Bounce Rate
Pageviews
Average Time on Site
New Visits

Plus it will give you the source of your traffic, along
with maps to see exactly where your visitors are coming
from.

More importantly for those of us in marketing, you can
track your conversions and see which pages are supplying
the sales. Extremely valuable to have!

I highly recommend you use Google Analytics:

Google Analytics

There might be a waiting list, so be patient. I know I
had to wait several months but this program is well worth
the wait!

How To Check Google's Supplemental Index

BWMagic's Web Marketing News!

o What is Your Income Source?

......

o What is Your Income Source?

As someone who is earning a good living from my web
sites I try to do everything I possibly can to improve
these sites. It simply means more checks in the mail
and more trips to the bank.

I especially keep my eyes peeled to Google. Mainly
because it is directly or indirectly responsible for
80% of my trips to the bank!

Google is my main source of earnings. Number #1 ranked
keywords and traffic from Google are responsible for
most of it. Then I tie in content linked to affiliate
products from Commission Junction, LinkShare, AffiliateWindow,
Shareasale, Amazon, LinkConnector, ClickBank...

I find myself moving more and more away from Information
(How-To) products, and marketing more business services
and luxury items. I also sell some very common everyday
items from my websites.

Although I am using 100's of affiliate programs and
products - my original source of income is Google.
Without traffic there are no sales.

I never forget that fact. I must try and keep in touch
with everything Google is doing. And apply most of my
limited time to my true source of my online living.

What about you? Have you evern sat down and figure out
the main source of your online income?

Different marketers have different techniques, some
use Pay-Per-Click advertising and buy their traffic.
Some marketers build large opt-in lists and use these
as their main bread-winners. The real smart marketers
produce their own products and recruit other affiliates
to promote and sell their products.

You must narrow down your main source of income and
focus the majority of your energies on it. Might sound
pretty obvious but are you really doing that each day????

....

o Google's Supplemental Index

Lately, as my ongoing obession with Google takes
full bloom, (main reason explained above) I have been
looking very closely at Google's Supplemental Index.

Google takes pages which it judges to be less important
and places them in a Supplemental Index. It is really
saying they don't trust these pages as much as those
in its main Index.

Google's Supplemental Index is not new. It goes way
back to 2003!

But lately Google seems to putting more emphasis on
the Supplemental Index and placing more pages there.
One can only guess, but it may have to do with improving
their SERPs - the more relevant their search results
become, the higher quality their flagship product will
achieve.

Regarless, you don't want your pages in this Supplemental
Index unless they are really unimportant pages (are there
any such things?) on your site.

---------------------------------------------
How To Check Google's Supplemental Index

To check the Google's Supplementa Index for
pages on your own site, you can do this:

Go to Google search and type in:

site:www.yoursite.com *** -sjpked

replacing 'yoursite' with your domain/site
to see what pages are indexed in Google's
Supplemental Index.

Mostly you will see any duplicated content or pages,
plus you may see some really old pages. What you don't
want to see are your main important pages listed in
this supplemental index.

If you see any important pages there - you should
check your whole linking structure of your site.
Are these pages linked properly? Are they orphaned?
Are they well positioned in your internal site
architecture?

It is always a good practice to keep on the good
side of Google. Don't do anything to bring unneeded
attention to your site.

...

o Marketing Tip: Add the AddThis Button to Your Site

One way you can keep your site competitive and in
the game is to fully embrace all the new social media
sites. These sites will be the traffic hubs of
the Internet. You must get your site tangled up
and connected to these traffic hubs or your site
will suffer.

Don't know what these social bookmarking sites are?

Just click this link and you will see a whole list
of these sites:

How To Get Your Articles Published Online & In Ezines
Copyright © 2007 Titus Hoskins

Using articles to boost your traffic and sales is one of
the most effective online marketing strategies you can use.
Why you ask? Mainly because articles are the ideal marketing
tools for promoting any website or business.

But you must do this right, you just can't throw a few
words together on a webpage and expect things to happen.
To effectively use articles as marketing tools you must
follow some simple procedures and practices in order to
get your articles published online and in ezines. So here
are some simple article marketing tips you can try.

Why Articles Work

Before we start, you must understand why articles are
so crucial to your marketing in the first place. You must
truly understand why and how articles work so effectively
as marketing vehicles in our newly wired world. It all boils
down to one word... information.

The main reason articles work is information. The whole
Internet is based on information. People use the web to
access information and your well written article can help
satisfy this need. You must place your article squarely
into this whole information cycle.

Your article must be informative and provide some benefit
to the reader. Tips, advice, how-to... your reader should
gain something from spending a few minutes reading your
article. The more beneficial your article, the more popular
it will become and you will have a better chance of getting
it published.

Title & Keywords

Your article title should contain two vital elements:
Keywords and Benefits. Your title must contain your
keywords or keyword phrases, these are the exact words
someone types into the search engines to find what
they are looking for on the web.

To find profitable keywords many professional marketers
use keyword research software like Keyword Elite but you
can also use free keyword suggestion tools like WordTracker
or Overture:
WordTracker

I find short catchy titles are best for capturing the
reader's attention. With our split second surfing habits,
the title may be your only chance you get to hook your
readers and keep them on your page. Another tactic is
to make all your articles easily scanable with your
main points highlighted for quick absortion.

Length

Most experts suggest you keep your articles short, in
the 500 - 700 word range. Many authors/marketers use
even shorter formats in the 200 - 300 word range in order
to fit neatly on webpages.

I personally have found my more meatier articles in the
900 - 1200 word range have worked the best for me and
seems to get featured in important ezines like Addme,
SiteProNews... more often than shorter articles.

Submission

You must distribute your articles on the web. You can
personally submit your articles to the many article
directory sites on the web or you can purchase a service
which does this for you. I do both.

I personally submit my articles to the major high PR6
or PR7 sites which display my articles. I have found
articles placed on Ezinearticles.com, Buzzle.com,
Goarticles.com, Articlealley.com, Promotionworld.com,
Thumbshots.org, Site-reference.com, Ideamarketers.com,
Selfgrowth.com... do extremely well.

I have also found using a paid online service like
SubmitYourArticle is really helpful, especially when
I am on vacation or away from my computer for any
length of time. I also use this service to quickly
write different versions of my articles for the best
search engine optimization. Using different lengths
as many webmasters will only publish short articles.

Resource Box/Anchor Text

Your resource box is at the end of each article and
this is where you place URLS for those all important
One-Way links back to your site. Many marketers are
careful to place their targeted keywords and variations
in the anchor text of their links. It is also a good
idea to provide some benefit or free gift to enhance
your 'call to action' and improve your chances of
getting that all important click.

Be Consistent

I have found a steady supply of fresh articles on a
regular basis works the best. These articles keep your
site or products fresh in the search engines and in
front of your potential customers and editors/webmasters
who publish your content. Try for at least two articles
per week.

Own List of Editors

Along the same lines, build your own opt-in list of
editors and webmasters who have opted in to receive
your latest articles. Send a copy of your article to
these interested parties and you will increase your
chances of getting your articles published. I also
kickstart my newest articles by including them in
my own ezines and blogs.

Autoresponders

Many marketers place their articles in autoresponders
so anyone requesting your article can easily use email
to retrieve it. Many marketers also use RSS feeds to
distribute their articles. If doing your own feeds seems
too complicated, then just use any of the major article
directories like Ezinearticles which will supply you with
a convenient RSS feed for your articles.

Spam Check Your Articles

I always make it a point of testing my articles for any
words or phrases that will trigger the spam filters and
block my articles. This is extremely important if you want
your article to be featured in ezines and newsletters. I
check my articles with my Aweber autoresponder service but
you can use a free SpamCheck service offered by SiteSell:

Personality

Articles that show some originality and personality
have worked the best for me. Showing and telling your
own story and experiences in a light hearted way seems
to work really well in the somewhat impersonal online
world. Having a sense of humor also helps, try to make
your articles entertaining as well as informative and
your articles will be picked up more often.

Conclusion

Writing unique informative articles is one of the most
effective ways to market on the web. Remember to keep
your articles informative, personable, keyword rich,
short and to the point. Take a pro-active approach to
promoting your articles: submit them to the major online
article directories, send them to editors and webmasters
who request content from you and place your articles on
your site, in your blogs and RSS feeds.

Used properly, articles can be effective marketing tools
for boosting both your traffic and sales. Perhaps the best
part of all, article marketing is completely free. What
more can you ask for?

o Internet Marketing Reality Show!
-------------------------------------

Guess it just had to happen!

I really debated if I wanted to tell you about this next
item. Lately, I am being turned off by all the hype
surrounding the IM Internet Marketing Community. Just
seems like one hyped program or product being launched
one after the other - without any breaks!

If you're keeping your eye on what's happening in the
Internet Marketing arena - I run two sites on IM so
I have to wade neck deep in all this stuff every day,
you start to wonder if it's more hype than substance.

Now comes this:

The First Internet Marketing Reality Show!

Actually I am a big reality show fan, I like Amazing
Race - wouldn't miss it. Same with Survivor. I also
find myself drawn to all these Real Estate shows -
selling/buying houses... A Place In The Sun is one
of favorite shows... maybe I have an unconscious
longing for Beachfront Property in the Tropics.

But a Reality Show On Internet Marketing - makes you
want to give Donald Trump a Rosie!

A reality show on Internet Marketing - can this fly?

I wouldn't bother with this at all except it's coming
from Joel Comm. Joel has a long history of making a
few bucks from the web.

After all, he is the co-creator of Yahoo! Games, which
he sold to Yahoo! for over $1,000,000.

He knows what he's doing and he has surrounded himself
with some of the best names in web marketing:

Mark Joyner
Armand Morin
Marlon Sanders
Jeff Johnson
Mike Filsaime
Rich Schefren
Perry Marshall
Brad Fallon
Jeff Walker
Mike Koenigs
Dave Taylor
Ray Edwards

These guys are not just doing a teleseminar. They will be
traveling and joining Joel ON LOCATION of the film set in
Colorado to be intimately involved with the show.

Yes, thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs will be
competing for a $25,000 cash prize and an opportunity
to become Joel's next joint venture partner, potentially
earning a huge chunk of money!

This show/site launches this Wednesday, May 9 at 10 am EST.
And I reluctantly recommend you check it out!

o Let Your Weblogs Show You The Money

Some of my best online earnings have come from
reading my site's traffic logs. I usually spend
an hour or two each day reading my logs - these
are the direct site logs recording where my traffic
is coming from, how long they stay on my site and
which keyword phrases they used to find my site.

This is not exactly the same as going in once or
twice a month and checking your web stats. I do
that too and I use Google Analytics which is also
very helpful but reading your logs each day gives
you a perfect snapshot of your site's traffic.

I am talking about real-time study and analysis
of your site's visitors. It's an old habit that
has paid of nicely.

Here's why:

By reading your logs you get a real detailed
picture of your site very quickly. Where your
visitors are coming from and how they reach
your site. You can also see how they react
to your site by seeing where they go to on your
site.

If you're into affiliate marketing or sell
products from your site - you can quickly
see which keyword phrases are converting into
sales. I usually match up the times of my sales
to my site's logs if I don't already have
tracking in place.

This gives me a quick indication of what keywords
are converting into sales. It also gives me
the source of that traffic.

Let me give you an example, I sell a lot of
high ticket items (in the 1000-5000 range) on
my sites thru affiliate programs. If I get
4 or 5 sales in one day which I can't account
for thru my tracking - all I have to do is look
at my traffic logs and see where those sales are
coming from.

It's not 100% certain but if you match up the
traffic log times and the times of the sales
- chances are you have found your source.

For an online marketer finding where your
sales are coming from and what keyword phrases
they're using really does show you the money.

Once I have these keyword phrases I can further
optimize my site or even build new pages to
bring in more sales. I can even use PPC (Pay Per
Click) advertising to target these keywords.

Recently, I noticed a lot of traffic/sales coming
from social media sites like Yahoo! Answers and
StumbleUpon... people were book-marketing and
recommending my urls or pages on my sites and
this was resulting in a lot of subscribers and
sales.

It is a source of traffic which is new, I mainly
depend on the search engines for organic traffic
with a lot of #1 rankings for my targeted keywords.
This was something new and I would never have
considered marketing to these groups had I not
been religiously reading my site's traffic logs.

Please don't get me wrong, I use other tracking
software as well as Google Analytics. But reading
your traffic logs each day will show you profitable
streams that can pay off big time. If you're not
reading your traffic logs - give it a try and see
for yourself.

See my article below on many of these top media
sites for getting more traffic to your site.

::::::::::::::::::::
Feature Article
::::::::::::::::::::

One of the most effective ways to increase your
web site traffic is to tap into the major sources
of massive traffic on the web. Read this article
to discover how you can use these special traffic
hubs to harvest massive amounts of traffic for your
own site. It's easier than you think...

Top 10 Sources For Massive Web Site Traffic
Copyright © 2007 Titus Hoskins

Experienced webmasters know there are special sources
or places on the web which will send massive amounts
of traffic to your site. They also know, if harnessed
properly, these mega traffic sites will supply any
web site with a steady stream of visitors.

Perhaps the best source of web site traffic is Google.
That's not exactly a Newsflash, but the key to getting
massive amounts of traffic from Google is to go wide and
long. With this strategy, instead of targeting highly
popular keywords which may be too competitive for your
site to win, you create a whole multitude of lesser known
long tail keyword phrases to bring in the traffic.

This traffic takes longer to build but because very few
webmasters bother with these longer phrases, your keywords
will be more stable and secure. Develop a whole list of
these traffic generating keyword phrases and Google will
reward you with a whole flood of targeted visitors stemming
from these thousands of small dribbles of long tail keyword
traffic.

Turning these dribbles of traffic into massive amounts is
not a difficult task, one very effective way to tap into the
entire search engine source of traffic is to tag everything.
Tags are just another name for keywords. As Web 2.0 or
Social Bookmarking sites become more and more popular,
tagging will become extremely important.

You must be especially careful of how you tag the content
on your site or sites. If you're using a blogging system
like WordPress, all your categories will be considered
tags automatically. If you're creating URLs, be careful
to place your keyword phrase in your links.

Another effective way to tap into the whole keyword traffic
system is to include your keyword phrase or variations of
it in your articles while promoting your site. Place your
anchor text in your links in the resource box at the end
of each article.

Over time, as these articles become distributed all over
the web, they will create a steady stream of targeted
visitors to your site. Simple, effective and very powerful.

You are probably tired of hearing about Web 2.0 and the
new Social Bookmarking sites but they are some of the best
places for massive traffic on the web. Any webmaster who
has been Slashdotted already knows this fact all too well;
if you get a listing on the homepage of Slashdot.com you
will immediately start receiving thousands of visitors to
your site. It can be somewhat scary.

A similar experience is getting one of your articles
published in ezines run by Addme.com, SiteProNews.com,
WebProNews.com, as well as others. These ezines go out
to hundreds of thousands of readers and can produce
massive traffic back to your site.

However, much of this sudden traffic is only temporary
and most savvy webmasters know it would be wise to try and
capture the contact information of these temporary visitors
for follow-up targeting. Turn that temporary visitor into
a patron of your site by offering a free ecourse or an email
newsletter.

The same marketing technique should be applied to traffic
coming from all these social media sites. Don't think of your
traffic as just numbers in your website's stats, but rather
as potential customers who will return to your site again
and again.

Keep this strategy in mind as you target some of these
Top Sources of massive traffic on the web:

1. Digg.com
2. Netscape.com
3. Ezinearticles.com
4. Del.icio.us
5. StumbleUpon.com
6. Reddit.com
7. Slashdot.org
8. BlinkList.com
9. Furl.net
10. Squidoo.com

You should be actively promoting these social bookmarking
sites by allowing your visitors to easily bookmark your
content. You should be creating your own content on sites
like Squidoo and placing links back to your site.

Of course, there are countless other sources of massive
traffic on the web. Press releases is another effective
way of quickly drawing in massive traffic to your site.
Sites like PRWeb can deliver targeted traffic very quickly
and efficiently.

Another very effective and high converting venue you should
try is Yahoo! Answers, a simple process where users post
a question and other members/experts offer answers. Used
correctly this can be a good source of targeted traffic.

Don't forget other important search engines such as MSN Live,
traffic from MSN has earned a solid reputation for converting
very well. So optimize your web pages for MSN Live Search and
you will probably see an increase in your sales as well as your
traffic.

Always keep in mind, the underlying key factor running
through all these sources of massive traffic is unique
quality content. You must create good original content
on your sites as well as in your articles and posts. Your
content must be informative, useful or entertaining. For
in the end, it is this quality content that will create the
interest, the links and the massive traffic to your site.

Don't ignore this factor or your quest for massive web site
traffic will be extremely difficult, if not impossible to
achieve.

o Why I Like Ken Evoy's SBI
------------------------------

As you probably know, for my 8th site on the web,
I used Ken Evoy's SBI. This Site building system
keeps impressing me the more I use it.

The main reason, Ken and his whole Sitesell company
really stays on top of things. Let me explain, or
rather give you just one example.

Recently, Google got together with search engines
and made Sitemaps a standard way of submitting and
updating your site's content in the different engines.

Needless to say, I don't have to explain how vital
this is for any site. You should have a sitemaps
file or page on your site so all the search enginess
will find and index your content.

Sitemaps is an XML file that you keep on your site
and which you submit to the search engines. As you
place new content/pages on your site, this file notifies
the search engines and your new pages get indexed
quickly.

Your SBI has this Sitemaps included in your hosting
package. Even more on top of things, on April 11th
there is no need to submit your sitemap to the search
engines - you can now just add a simple line in your
robots.txt file and the search engines can use this file
to find your sitemap on your site.

Now SBI has made this adjustment to the robots.txt file
to make sure the search engines find your site. It also
has an Auto-Pinging system in place to ping the engines.

I have four other web hosts, none of them does anything
like this!

This shows why I like SBI - you can concentrate on
adding content to your site and let SBI deal with all
the tech stuff. For the non-tech webmasters out there
- this is a Godsend. It really simplifies the whole
running of a web site or a web business.

You don't need to know the tech stuff in order to run
a site. It really puts the running and building of a
professsional web site into the hands of everyone.

You also get the feeling that no matter what changes
comes along, SBI will have the resources to tackle them.
This peace of mind is an unexpected bonus with owning a
SBI site.

Quite frankly, for a somewhat experienced webmaster
like myself, I thought having a SBI site would be
overkill - I know all this stuff, I am not starting
from scratch. Why would I need all this extra training
and marketing help?

Just the opposite has happened, I have quickly realized
SBI is not just for newbies or those just starting
out. Well seasoned professional marketers can also
benefit from having a SBI site. This sitemaps issue
is just one example.

If you haven't checked out SBI, here's a short
video tour that explains why everyone should be
impressed with SBI.
